This hotel, when open, will be a short stroll (5 minutes) to the Black Falcon Terminal.  The hotel is about 10 minutes from the Harpoon Brewery (they have tours and a tasting room) and roughly a 15 minute walk to lots of restaurants (though not sure which are open or will survive C-19). The hotel is right on the Silver Line which is a bus line that will take you from Dry Dock Ave to South Station in Boston. From South Station you can walk into downtown Boston, walk along the waterfront to the North End (Italian district) and other sights or change to "The T" Red Line (subway) to Park Street Station which is where the Freedom Trail begins. To get to the hotel from the airport you can take another branch of the Silver Line (you'll change at World Trade Center) or taxi/Uber. The hotel will be convenient to the dock and slightly out of the way for the usual tourist sites but nothing insurmountable. The MBTA ("The T") has a good website which can help you plan your trips www.mbta.com. What ever you decide have fun and enjoy Boston. It's a walkable city with lots to see.

Looking at seaport area. anyone stayed in this area? looks like they are opening a new hampton inn there soon. think it is close to the port.

I formerly lived in New England, was a TA, and often was in at Black Falcon (Ray Flynn) Pier.  Originally, I was booked at the brand new yet to be opened Hampton Inn Seaport.  It appears to be very close to the terminal building.  However, knowing the area, it may be a challenge to walk to the entry door from the hotel. A quick taxi or Uber ride makes more sense.  We switched our reservation to the Hilton at Faneuil Hall (with 8 friends) so we would have time and place to socialize and dine the evening before sailing.  Other hotels in that area are the Bostonian, Omni Plaza, Marriott Waterfront, etc.

That Hampton Inn looks to be about a 5-10 minute walk to Black Falcon.  Those streets have sidewalks (at least they did before construction and I expect will again afterwards) and shouldn't be at all difficult to get from Point A to Point B on foot.

It also looks like Chickadee's Restaurant is just a short walk from the Hotel.
