Glad to hear it all went so well...

May I ask if the slots in the casino will take US dollar currency? (Have a good few left over since last cruise.)

Thanks.

Yes, they only take US dollars. We also had some left over and used them. Funny thing is as it was only Brits on the cruise the casino was empty with only a few people in there.

Thanks for the, what for us is important information.

Hopefully casino will be quiet enough on our 25 July cruise for us to not notice half the machines out. 😊

Am sure you will have a fantastic time, they are still doing the prize draws in the casino at times throughout the day and less people means more chance to win! Have a great time.

Meant to say earlier... don’t forget any essentials! We forgot a few bits and couldn’t purchase onboard (hairspray, plug adapter etc). They had one men’s and one women’s deodorant, antacids, sun cream and not much else. We managed to borrow an adapter from guest services for $25 refundable deposit though but had to do without the hairspray!

Not sure if it’s usually this limited, I recall there being a bit more of a selection on other lines but never sailed RCI before let alone in a pandemic!

The selection is usually limited and pricey, though this seems less than usual.   I would also check with the salon for hairspray.

We were sent from beauty shop to RCI shop, then up to the salon in search of hairspray but there was none on the ship... wasn’t the end of the world really but the selection did seem very limited.

No, 5th Sept is the first cruise going to European ports. Spain and Portugal.

I'm booked on the 12th September which was France, Spain and Portugal. They've just changed it to Canaries. There are non-British booked on this cruise.

British ports are not European? 😉

Good old fashioned cruise question..

Were any of the recent Anthem cruisers able to print out their luggage tags, and if so how far in advance?

Our tags remain annoyingly greyed out "pending" with less than two weeks to go.

I had the same problem and was worried but about 3 days before they appeared and was able to print them.

Thank you for your prompt answer.

With all the upcoming worries of Eurofins, cancellations, etc for some reason this bothered me the most. (Yes I know I can do it at the pier, but that's not the point)

Now feeling much happier

Thanks again.

Just a heads up for anyone on with the 1000 guest restriction the Windjammer is only open for Breakfast and Lunch, it is closed in the evening until the capacity restrictions are lifted.

Less than 70 Diamond and D+ onboard.

Coffee in Diamond lounge during the day is served by a waiter.

We got a very cheap Royal Up so used Coastal Kitchen. We went to the lounge on deck 12 and it was empty.

Am I correct in saying 19th July will lift all capacity restrictions ?

Or will they continue with a self imposed capacity restriction for a limited time until they are confident with protocols etc.

July 20th cruises are back on sale so who knows what the capacity will be. We had 1000 passengers and 1300 crew!

I wasn’t able to print them at all but the staff at the port had loads of spares, baggage arrived promptly.

I found this on another website when I was looking. Can't guarantee accuracy

Cruise ships will be able to operate at 50 percent passenger capacity from July 19, it has been confirmed in an exciting boost to domestic cruises.

The Department of Transport is set to increase the guest limits as Covid restrictions lift in England in under two weeks.

Cruise ships will be able to operate at half capacity from July 19.

That video has got me so excited for my cruise in just over a month's time. Finally sat down and did the online check in today,  which I'd been meaning for for weeks, and still managed to get a 12:30 - 1pm slot.

Can't believe how big that cabin looks, mine's on the same deck but regular not obstructed balcony so hopefully should be similar sized!
