Have you been on any Royal Caribbean sailings on Oasis or Allure besides Celebrity? Thanks for your comment. I was only on the Allure once. It was November 2019. I had posted some video from Coco Cay of the crew trying to get the lines off of the pilings so we could leave. The dock had been destroyed in a hurricane so it was dangerous getting men onto the pilings from a boat. The weather turned bad and they evacuated the island at 10:00. We waited all afternoon before they even attempted to get the lines back in. It was scary. We didn’t leave until about 5:00. Were you on that one?
deliver42 Posted March 11, 2021 #28 Share Posted March 11, 2021 So sorry for your loss. Very nice gesture of Celebrity. I hope it was able to put a little smile on your face.
SeaHunt Posted March 12, 2021 #29 Share Posted March 12, 2021 I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope your wonderful memories will give you and your family comfort in the days ahead. And also thank you for telling us about the Celebrity act of kindness that touched your heart (and via the posting of it our hearts too). When he enters Heaven I'm pretty sure St. Peter will have a little notation to be sure and give Kendall the "Zenith" angel wings...

I will cut and paste this thread to my siblings with my sincere thanks for the replies. I do not do Facebook , Twitter or Instagram (due to work reasons) but if anyone would like to help me send my post to Celebrity for them to see I would appreciate it. I am also sending a written letter to their headquarters as well of sincere thanks. I do hope to be on the Apex transatlantic in April 2022, and whatever may sail at the end of 2021. It is amazing to me how many people my brother interacted with who remembered him. It really helps us all. I will always remember the kindnesses displayed by people during this past year and I hope to pay it forward. kk99 - I am so sorry for you and your family's profound loss! I do not know you or your brother, but wow what a lovely tribute you shared about Kendall! I am on that APEX TA in April 2022, I hope I have the opportunity to meet you. Be well and be strong as you grieve his loss...on eagles wings may he soar!!
rM3panno Posted March 12, 2021 #31 Share Posted March 12, 2021 I still can't believe Kendall is gone. I have known Kelcie my entire life and didn't get to meet Kendall until I was a little older and sailing often with Kelcie and Kendall. I spent a most of my teenage years growing up with Kendall on a cruise. He was always young at heart. We spent countless hours on cruises in the Caribbean, Baltic, and Mediterranean. I have so many fond memories of days exploring the ship, venturing into casino, walking the pool deck, eating (he was known to take quite a while at meal times), and most importantly making new friends. Kendall seemed to have no trouble striking up conversations and before long on every sailing, he wouldn't be able to walk to dinner without running into a new friend. We would explore the cities, towns, and villages on each trip and he would still manage to make even more new friends ashore. There are far too many personal memories and great stories to capture Kendall in an online post but he will be missed dearly and I will forever cherish the those moments and laughter. 1

kk99 Posted March 12, 2021 Author #34 Share Posted March 12, 2021 So, this will be my last post on this thread, as everyone has been so kind to respond, and on to happier discussions on Cruise Critic. Renee, we were on that sailing with you, small world indeed. Thank you to the person who contacted me and sent the Facebook message of my original post to Celebrity Cruises. I appreciate it very much. So thank you to all of the posters whether they knew Kendall or not. It makes me happy that people are so caring about a stranger but who was a fellow cruise enthusiast. As to those on the Apex transatlantic 4-30-2022, I will be there, and I will be buying drinks for others throughout the cruise in Kendall's honor. I will also attend the Cruise Critic get together, if they still have them when cruising resumes. I do hope to meet up with all of you who posted, who are on that cruise and say thanks to you in person. And lastly as a another step in paying it forward for Kendall, all of my family made a donation today to the Celebrity Cruises Crew Donation Fund, to help whoever is in need in some small way, as Kendall would have wanted that. Blessings to all of you, and happy future sailings, Kelcie
