The Real Food of Royal Caribbean😉

Umm...this is not factual.  Only beer and wine allowed on DCL.  DCL stopped the carry on of alcohol many years ago.  Check the Dcl site.

Hmmm well, we've traveled with them 9 times, latest in in Feb 2018 and January 2019. Brought bottle of Vodka and Scotch and campari in one of them, and 6 pack of beer a $300 bottle of champagne and a $10 one for mimosas in the other. Have bought rum in Jamaica and Mezcal in Cozumel. No one said peep.

They also serve a nice breakfast for Suites, Pins, and D+

Lot's of omelets were ordered. Typically I do egg white. They're smaller

LOVE breakfast at Chops. I grew up not liking eggs...my mom hated them, and I went along with her. First time I tried a Denver omelet was in Chops on Freedom of the Seas, now it's a favorite when we go out to breakfast. I love those little yogurt parfaits they'd have too.

I also love the chicken sandwich and get it every time!!  Never thought of putting the two together.

Tip, if the waffle cake is thinner it tastes way better than when thicker.  Lettuce and tomato is optional.

Is that the pineapple cake to the right of the carrot??  First time I had that was a poolside buffet on Mariner back in the day. Sooo yummy and moist!

Well, the true food of Royal is so-so. We've dined at least twice in each other premium dining venues and at least 3 times at 150 Park and chops. The food has been good, but nothing to write home about. In terms of food, just in my kids, wife and mine's opinion the food in DCL is generally much better than RCL, even the unpaid/included in fare one. Food at the MDRs in Royal (Oasis and Freedom) is mediocre across the board. Norwegian MDR/included food is much, much better.

If you're into good eats in Mega cruise ships (and assuming that was your only criteria for choosing):

1. DCL

2. NCL

3. RCL

We are not foodies but we also enjoy DCL dining over Royal
