Journey's Den?

Is there any insight as to whether Journey will have a dry dock addressing Deck 5 and the casino/slot machines?  Pre-pandemic, there was talk of converting this space to "The Den," like Quest, Pursuit, and now Onward.  Thanks for any replies, informed speculation, or wild guesses...

We don't gamble, but having been on Quest just prior to the Plague, I must say the Den is a MUCH nicer use of space. It still lacks the pizazz that the Living Room acquired after its conversion, but it is still a much, much nicer use of limited real estate with the gambling stuff pulled out.

Yes. Journey will have The Den put in next dry dock I understand, which will be before she goes back into service. Two weeks in Cadiz.

Thanks, Phil.  This makes me very happy!

I also much prefer shorex and both the LCV (now Azamara Circle) Manager and assistant close at hand in that area too.

I think it very much depends who is playing in the Den the level of pizazz it has.  Its a favourite spot of mine and after the show can be more convivial for a final drink than the Living Room.  Glad we have those choices!

Does anyone know what is planned for dry dock? Routine maintenance? New carpets and beds? Both ships got major overhauls around 2012 or so, I had no complaints with Quest in August '19, so just curious as to what we (may) find in October.

It is a marine dry dock except for Journey which also has the Den refurbishment.  Carpets are replaced all the time  often seen the rolls coming onboard on turn around day.  Mattresses may be new given the length of time they have been in storage, again doesn't need a dry dock to do that, they get changed on turn around days when necessary.
