We booked a suite on the Harmony of the Seas which has WiFi included. My question is when you are on the balcony with the door shut how good is the WiFi reception on my devices ?

This may vary a bit by exact cabin, but usually quite poor.

We are on deck 10 midship, my thought was to play Pandora from my smart phone while on the balcony. OK for a "plan B" leave the smartphone in the room tuned to Pandora and transmit to a portable Bluetooth speaker on the patio. I think the signal will not go through the sliding patio door so maybe keeping it open. Your thoughts ?

Use plan B - you won't really know until in the cabin what kind of signal strength you'll have. BTW, others may not share you taste in music or may prefer silence altogether.

Now I'm worried that we won't be able to facetime family members while at sea while still in our room.

Don't worry you can always send them a post card .... they might receive it a week later after you get back. Plan "c" download your music to your smart phone and use some noise cancelling headphones on the balcony. 😇

Yep, always amazed that people think everyone is keen to be serenaded by their choice of music

On most ships the signal is fine in the cabin, but gets progressively weaker as you go further away from the hallway (the location of the wifi access point).
