OBC for specialty restaurants question

I was able to use the website to reserve a specialty restaurant with OBC.  There's a place after you reserve your place, date and time, for you to click on "onboard credit".  I did this a few weeks ago, so I do not remember specifics......sorry......but there is a way.

If the OBC is in your account, it should just apply.  You may need to indicate that you want it to apply when you are checking out, so look out for that, but it should not be an issue.

I was able to book the Rooftop Garden Grill for my upcoming Edge cruise using OBC.  When you get to the payment section, the site will ask if you want to pay with a c.c. or use OBC.  That's only for the OBC that shows in your account, which I had.  The OBC that is a gift from my TA won't be able to be used until I get on board.

looking to reserve a specialty restaurant for October cruise but want to use OBC. they seem to require prepayment before the cruise. Is there anyway to use the OB C

precruise??

Is your OBC coming from Celebrity or is it OBC from your TA?  OBC from a TA does not show up in your cruise planner and can't be used until you are on the ship.  Normally OBC from a TA is refundable, so if you don't use it while on board it will be refunded to your credit card.

You can use Celebrity OBC.  When checking out, there should be options to pay for the reservation and indicate the OBC option.  I have done this several times with no problem.  As mentioned, it usually does not work with travel agent OBC.

In the Tuscan Grille we just told our server we wanted to use OBC as we were seated and that took care of that.

A lot of this discussion is concerning the ability to use OBC before you are on board.

Once you are on board it is not necessary to ask for your OBC to be used for particular transactions on your account.  Celebrity will use up your OBC before they charge your credit card.
