CDC Yellow category for NA- does anyone have any info as to why?

With the 1/25 update, based on data submitted 1/24, Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam and Zuiderdam remain Yellow. Nieuw Amsterdam (Crew Only, for now) remains Orange. Noordam (Crew Only) is back to Green.

The Nieuw Amsterdam isn't taking passengers -- that's where (as recently as this week) they are quarantining crew with covid

ORANGE and YELLOW Now Reversed

 

Per the CDC website on 2/9/22:

”CDC amended its color-coding system for CDC’s COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships to align with its revised investigation threshold. The ‘Orange’ and ‘Yellow’ ship colors were reversed for the COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships to go in a more logical color order.”

With the 2/9 update, Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam and Zuiderdam are Orange (equivalent to pre-update Yellow). Noordam (Crew Only) is Yellow (equivalent to pre-update Orange, so no change for Noordam). Westerdam (Crew Only) remains Green. Rotterdam and Nieuw Amsterdam (Crew Only) are now Yellow.

As of the morning of 2/15, based on data submitted 2/11, Eurodam, Koningsdam and Nieuw Statendam remain Orange (equivalent to pre-update Yellow). 

Zuiderdam has improved to Yellow (equivalent to pre-update Orange).

Rotterdam and Nieuw Amsterdam (Crew Only) remain Yellow.

Noordam (Crew Only) has improved to Green.

Zuiderdam is back to Orange.

Rotterdam is now Orange.

Koningsdam improved to Yellow.

Nieuw Amsterdam (now Passenger-Carrying) remains Yellow.

Koningsdam remains Yellow. Nieuw Statendam is back to Yellow.

FIVE SHIPS GREEN

Based on data as of 3/7, Eurodam and Rotterdam remain Orange (equivalent to pre-update Yellow). 

Koningsdam improved to Yellow. 

Nieuw Statendam and Zuiderdam improved to Green. Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam (Crew Only) and Westerdam  (Crew Only) remain Green.
