Bacon Every Other Day

John said this morning that because of trouble getting bacon supplies, that for the next week or so, they will only be serving bacon every other day.  Not really a problem for me because I rarely eat bacon, but I'm guessing some people will not be happy.

We just got off Carnival Magic and had bacon every day.  However I will say the quality went down each day.  Day 1 was great, flavorful, crispy bacon.  By day 5 it was floppy, flavorless, chewy bacon.

I personally prefer the ham over the bacon, but I don't eat either at home that often.  But, I can just see other cruise lines using this as a advertising tool, "We have the bacon!"  😀  That is assuming they can get it from their suppliers.  I honestly had no idea there was a bacon shortage.

Why I cancelled my steakhouse reservation.

Concern about the quality. Not that it'll be bad, per se, just that it won't be up to the usual standard and why pay for that?

Cook it in the oven.  You'll never go back!  I can cook lots of bacon with minimal clean-up, no splatters or burns, and still have the bacon grease to use for other things.  🙂

What! I am a Bacotarian and only eat bacon. What is Carnival going to do for the 18 people nationwide that follow the same practice. Carnival cares nothing about us.

Four cancelled cruises last year. Now no bacon, I think we have reached rock bottom. No cruises for over 14 months, surely there can't be a pig shortage.
