I just bought these hooks also. 🙂 We are Equinox B2B Sept 5/17 so will be moving in for 21 days. Yay. It will be nice to have some more places to hang stuff. Also got some chair clips. Getting more and more excited as each day goes by.

Yep, they are handier than a pocket on a T-shirt. 😉

I wonder if I could make a small pest of myself.  I rarely turn on a TV on a cruise but for our 8/27 I'd like to.  I'm a big LPGA fan and the Solheim Cup is being played during our cruise.  In your on board travels could you keep your eye out for anyplace that might resemble a sports bar where I might watch?

Thanks.

I agree Craft Social is where you want to go. One of the bartenders there told us that if they can get a game via satellite, they can turn it on whatever television you like. I will get a copy of the menu there later. The have a larger selection of beer. Quite a few wines. And some small bites. Like pub style bites.

In the MDR, on a S-class ship, is a party of two or four guests served by a team of THREE crew members or a team of FOUR?

Obviously, there is a waiter, an assistant waiter, and a sommelier.  But ... is there a fourth person -- a "bar waiter," who serves beverages other than wines (such as cocktails/aperitifs before dinner, soft drinks/specialty coffees with dessert, and after-dinner drinks)?

We have a waiter, assistant waiter, sommelier, and bar waiter.

So four.

Had lunch in the cabana. You can order from the room service menu basically.

Mark got the Celebrity Burger.

I got the pepperoni pizza.

Guys. I did not realize this pizza was big enough for three people. I felt terrible that I could only finish three slices. It was delicious. But seriously. I’m going to have to invite some friends next time.

Show tonight was pianist & entertainer Tom Franek. Very energetic. Played a range of music and performed a few sight gags. A little corny, but he played to the audience and it was kitschy in a fun way. He’s very talented, and I usually enjoy live music. This was light hearted and pretty enjoyable.

One more thing. Just a tip about the magnetic hooks. Even though many say “heavy duty” you will eventually have an item heavier than the hook can hold. In this case, put two hooks side by side and they can hold a lot more.

For this reason, I always suggest buying a few more than you think you will need.

One more thing. I just want to say thanks for following along. I know I’m not responding to every post, and it’s possible I’ve overlooked something, but I always try to get to most questions, and I enjoy posting my pictures and thoughts from my cruises (it’s fun to look back on them a year or two from now…kind of like a digital scrapbook).

I met @Cruisin_FL_Girl and her sister tonight in the martini lounge. It was great talking to you guys, and I’m so happy you are enjoying Celebrity.

So far, we are having a great time as well.

@aring75 FYI, the CC site was all screwed up this afternoon. I wrote an email about how my login started showing that I was two other members and how the site kept generating errors. Got an auto reply "we're aware and working on it." Seemed ok by 6 to 6:30 EDT. The email advised clearing cookies but I haven't heard of anyone reporting that it is glitchy since.

Thx for so much info! We go on Oct 29. Gotta figure out a Halloween mask different from the ones we've been wearing!

Yes there is.  She asked each night if anyone wanted a drink.  After the first two nights, she brought my tablemates their Sprite Zeros without asking.  I drank wine (sommelier), never asked the bar waiter for anything.

Okay. I think I’m mostly caught up for the day. I think we will try Café al Bacio tomorrow morning. Plus it’s another sea day. Sushi on Five for dinner. Yum.

Your review has been wonderful so far!! Interesting about the cabanas on the lawn deck. We almost never saw them in use on our cruise but it sounds like it was a great investment for you!

I have a favor to ask, regarding Marko your bartender. I'm pretty sure he is the same guy we fell in love with several years ago on the Millennium in Alaska. He was on his very first cruise contract. We were so excited that he was on our Equinox cruise a couple of weeks ago! He is now working the Sky Lounge every night.

I didn't realize that he is also working the cabana area, but I'm not surprised. Bringing you that Rose is exactly the kind of thing Marko would do.

So, on our 7/25 cruise, Marko wrote down his Facebook name for us because we want to follow him on FB and cruise with him again if the opportunity arises. Then I promptly lost his note. 😳 (Ask him if he ever found my $200 casino voucher-- man, I was losing it on that cruise!)

So anyway, if you happen to run into Marko at the cabanas, or in the Sky Bar -- he is there for hours every night -- please ask him to friend us on FB. Paul N Becky Niendorff. (He knows me as Rebecca because that is the name on my card). There aren't many Niendorffs on FB so he should be able to find us.

His fiance Andrea works in Cafe Al Bacio so you'll see her when you get your morning coffee. She's a sweetheart.

I’m sorry I’ve been absent. Had a lot of trouble connecting to CC earlier. Other websites worked. But got errors for Cruise Critic. Let’s try to get caught up!

CC wasn't very responsive.  A little better now.  I still don't have all my activity list but I was able to re-open the few currently active threads and that's enough.  I was in a panic thinking I'd lost yours.  😀

You're doing great.  We always look for an on board thread to follow and yours is at the top of the list.  😀

Never tried the ragout - looks interesting.

This was the first time I tried it as well. It was better than I expected. The gnocchi was soft and pretty fluffy (maybe just a little dense, but good) and the pieces of braised beef were tender. There were sautéed shallots that added a little sweetness. I don’t remember what the sauce on the bottom was, but it seemed like a very light cream sauce.

Hope this helps!
