Ok.  Does X publish what's in the fridge?  I haven't seen the details.  Thanks.

I found the list in another thread but no promises.  Everyone seems to get vodka for some reason.  I think a small tip to the cabin steward might get them to stock something else.

So this is not the most important problem in the world but my TA is struggling to understand what I'm trying to do.... upgrade to Drinks and More.  I can only find this in the planner at the full list price of something like $69/pp/pd.  I asked my TA to ask the Celebrity reps the next time she calls them about something.

Have you directed them to to upper right corner of the flier for drink packages? No price is shown but the option is identified:

The upgrade didn't show up in my cruise planner until a few months out from the cruise.  Not needed but was not there originally when I booked the cruise last year.  Showed up around Julyish for my Nov 21 cruise I think.  Would not worry about it they add the upgrades eventually.

Here's my theory. About 2 months or so prior to your sail date, your cruise planner will update to reflect your current beverage package. It will show up in your "order history". At that point, you should be able to order the upgrade.

I might be wrong, but it's as good a theory as any. 😀

So Celebrity finally got me set up so that I could upgrade to Drinks and More but I don't think I'll do it.  They also said "no substitutions" and couldn't promise I could get scotch instead of vodka.  I guess I'll walk down one deck and get my drinks the old fashioned way.

BTW the email I was going back and forth with was "BeveragePackages@celebrity.com"

To have the mini bar replenished both have to buy the drinks and more.  There is a set replenishment, you don’t get to choose.  FYI for the bottles of wine you also don’t have a choice, you get 1 red & 1 white not high quality. If the price to upgrade is not much more than the casino credit and you frequent the casino it may a good deal.

I called the Sommelier and they brought me 4 bottles of wine to replace what I didn't like. She gave me two French Chardonnay's and 2 Pinot Noirs that were much nicer than the original 4 bottles.

What cabin are you in?  Suites? Veranda?  Wondering why they would do this for you.  Nice that they did it.

I was in AQ and I think since the boat was so empty, they weren't that concerned. It never hurts to ask the question. I actually asked my room attendant if he could switch them out or give me a menu to pick from and the Sommelier called me the the next day to ask my preferences. I told her French Chardonnay (no Oak) and Pinot Noir and she brought me 4 new bottles that were really nice.

I would like to change the minibar contents and I'm getting told by Celebrity they can't do it.  Maybe a tip would get the attendant to do it.  I understand they can't let everyone make changes but simple request should be ok.  Ex. No vodka all scotch.

Yeah, other than getting all Diet coke and water put in the fridge, I was unable to convert the Vodka to Bourbon and the Heineken to IPA as well.

In my cruise planner for our next cruise, it is an upgrade option in the Drink Package tab. We already have the premium drink package and are Elite so the price is $9.00 a day plus 20% service charge. Total is $10.80 a day. Not sure if that reflects a 10% discount or not.

Yes I see $9 pp pd not including gratuity.  I see I'll have to write a long letter to the CEO about the minibar.  I'm sure it will be read immediately.

  • 1 month later...

As I posted a few days ago but for some reason my post was deleted, I have no idea why. I spoke with a Celebrity rep regarding this upgrade package and she told me it was being discontinued. She also told me that any packages that were purchased prior to the date the decision to discontinue was made( not sure what the exact date was though) would be honored. Hopefully this answer will not cause this one to be deleted. Hope it helps.

Your post wasn't deleted.  It was discontinued.

Some may find this comical as the Celebrity website has a history of being a bit "wonky" at times. I received an email from Celebrity today to upgrade our drink package to either the Premium Package or, wait for it................, yes, you guessed it, the Drinks and More Package with a "Book Now" tab below each offer. For a split second I thought, maybe, just maybe, it was "back by popular demand" but unfortunately after clicking the Book Now button and checking the box next to each of our names, the same ERROR message appeared 😥. There you have it, again.

Maybe they are just changing the name to MORE DRINKS instead of drinks & more?  We know how bad the website is.

Or if I get my way, everyone gets scotch and coke and no more vodka.

Darn.  If only my aft cabin was close to a bar.....

I'll wait.  TA didn't know about the package or the price.  Says b/c I'm discounted package Elevate/Premium (???) I can't upgrade.  Again. I'll wait.

You need a new TA. His or her answers for you are pretty weak at best. You deserve better service.

Im not surprised they cancelled the D&M package. We’ve done it three times and tomorrow will be the fourth. If it seems it’s a home run like this is (the 50$ casino credit covers the upcharge from Premium and more) then most likely with all cruise lines it will go away. MSC just cut back on their mini fridge options and amenities for YC guests as well.

Although you have a travel agent, you can call Celebrity directly to inquire and purchase the drinks and more package.  They will be able to tell you how much more it is to upgrade to it.
