Now that we have sailed we are getting hungry. We decide that we are going to eat at Guy’s Pig & Anchor down on Deck 5. Patti got some pictures of the venues on Deck 5 that we passed along the way. First is the Piano Bar 88…..

After finishing our dinner we head aft on Deck 5. There is another Fun Hub right next door…..

At this point I decide that I’m going to the casino to play some blackjack, and Patti is going to head to the Liquid Lounge for the first bingo session and then stay for the Welcome Aboard Show. I told Patti I would meet her there for that. So we head to the elevators and program it for two persons to Deck 4.

 

 

Now here’s my take on this infamous elevator system. You can take it or leave it. Sometimes it worked well, and other times it took forever. You are at the mercy of your fellow passengers. I don’t know how many times an elevator that we were assigned to, came to our floor packed so that no one else could get on. It was obvious that groups of people would get on an elevator without pressing the button more than once. For the first three days I observed people jumping onto the first elevator that came to our floor having no idea where the elevator was going. I guess there was a reason why this system was not installed on the Mardi Gras.

 

So now we are on Deck 4 so I head to the casino and Patti continues on to the Liquid Lounge.  She gets this picture of tonight’s Dreamscape in the Lobby……

Patti had no luck tonight. I joined her for the Welcome aboard show having broken even playing blackjack. The Welcome Aboard show was hosted by the Cruise Director Donkey…..

 

 

 

 

After the show we decided to call it a night.

Hi Jeff & Patti.  So excited for this review!  We fly to Buffalo Friday for two nights in Niagara then driving up to see my dad.  Quick trip before our long trip to meet up with you guys on the Miracle.

Thanks for posting. We will be following you, can’t believe we finally will be sailing again next Sunday! Our last cruise was November 2019 we had 3 cancelled after that. Hope you have a wonderful week looking forward to following your posts.

Loving your review! As always. Dang! That's Donkey?? Last time we saw him he had short hair, and always wore shorts. Never seen him so dressed up!

I'm not a fan of the elevators. I was familiar with the concept, since the Marriott Marquis in Times Square uses a similar system - but folks just don't understand that you have to tell the elevator how many people are boarding. Doug and I took stairs most of the time when we were aboard in 2018 - but since then, Doug's developed real knee problems (no cartilage left) and I think it's going to be harder for us to take stairs more than 1 or 2 decks. Dang, it stinks getting older....🙄

Don't know how I missed the beginning of the review, but I did. Will be following along and you and Patti found some places on the ship that I never made it to! IMHO, I think Patti did a wonderful job showing off the Horizon.
