I guess it's the same Casino for both Cos.

No it is not. Totally different programs and call centers. Royal Caribbean's casino program is called Casino Royale and the phone # is 888-561-2234.

Celebrity's casino program is called Blue Chip Club and their phone # is 866-461-7170.

I have Royal's contact # as I received an invite.  Before calling was wondering if Casino Royale will allow an upgrade and pay difference.

We get upgraded each time we accept an offer since the offers are for two and we travel with 3.  Often it is the same type of room, just a different code for the third person.  We have also had them combine offers received by 2 of us to change category.  The difference is usually a small upgrade cost  (<$100) for DW & I and a 3rd person charge for DS ($100-$300) depending on the cruise.

We always ask what the upgrade cost would be.  We have successfully upgraded to a junior suite or better.  The price to upgrade ranges from reasonable to outrageous, depending on the cruise.  If you are tied to one particular cruise, they will check a few cruises you highlight to see if there is a better deal to upgrade on any one of them.  I find Casino Royale to be very easy to work with.

Yes definitely can upgrade to any cabin type.   They wont apply any other discounts to the upgrade price, such as no discount for diamond or up.

The price you see on a mock booking of an int cabin vs a balcony cabin will give you a general idea of the difference but the casino always has different prices then what you will see online.

You do have to pay in full for the upgrade and port taxes/fees at time of the booking.

You can use a fcc towards upgrade fare too

Just booked my Casino Royale free cabin offer, and was able to upgrade to a balcony without any extra cost.  The interior was some  $14 ($536 vs $522) higher than a balcony.  The sail is a 5 niter sailing on Dec. 4, '21 on the Navigator out of Port Canaveral.

Just booked with a free cruise certificate yesterday that entitled us to an inside cabin. We were able to upgrade to any cabin that we wanted to as long as we paid the difference. This time we chose a Central Park balcony to give it a try.

Was it a casino offer and if so, you must have gotten a better offer as no Oasis class was offered in my promo.

Yes, you can upgrade any sailing offered to you by Casino Royale, but be prepared to pay for the cruise in its entirety at the time you book it.

See post # 12.  Also, do you know if I’m able to earn points even though it’s a free cruise.

Yes, You can combine both of your offers towards a cabin upgrade.  When you pull up your offers on clubroyaleoffers.com website it tells you far right the trade in value of your certificate.

It may  be because of us adding a 3rd person requires an upgrade to the cabin.  Combining two usually allows us to cover the upgrade charge for Guest 1&2 and the added cost for the 3rd guest is all we end up paying (+ port fees and taxes).  We have done it on RCL many times.

I am a solo, so I don't have the availability of combining offers. You were fortunate if your cruise cabins dropped enough that you didn't have to pay any additional money for an upgrade.  I am only Prime with the casino and 95% of the time my offers are for inside or oceaview.  I always upgrade to a balcony cabin, but per Casino Royale, I am required to pay the entire cruise fare for the upgrade at the time I book it.  And yes, I am aware that points are given.

What's so funny, when I did a mock booking for same reservation on Tuesday, I needed to pay a difference of $220 x T&F, but on Wednesday, the balcony was $14 cheaper.  The Casino Royale Agent was telling, true or not, that RCL adjusts their cruise fares on Wednesdays,  maybe some truth.
