Change status during a cruise

Is it possible to change from Emerald to Diamond after  3 nights on a 7 Night Cruise,

when you then have the 80 points to Be Diamond member.

Have anybody tried to do that, Maybe a crazy idea...

Officially it's after the cruise is completed.  People have tried.  Some have succeeded, most have not.  We waited and didn't bother the loyalty ambassador.

Crap shoot.  We have had friends do it while on a cruise (moving to Emerald so not a jump to a high level like D+ or anything) but others have tried and had no success.  Cannot hurt to ask, they aren't going to put you off at the next port or anything 😁

If I were the locality ambassador, I would gladly move somebody from Platinum to Emerald mid cruise. Heck, I’d do it even if the person didn’t have enough points - they could be Emerald for the duration of the cruise.

I want to move from D to D+ on the day it's earned, so I can get the extra drink voucher for the remainder of the cruise.  😁

Officially no. Your points are not awarded daily, they are all awarded at the end of the cruise, so you have the new level for the next cruise.
 

The only exception to this is Pinnacle, which is awarded immediately. 
 

As others have said individual Loyalty Ambassadors may award status early. This is outside the C&A requirements so you should never expect it.
