Any Recommendations for post cruise hotel in Stockholm?

Next Aug we end our Marina cruise in Stockholm and would like a hotel recommendation that is close to most sights and activities in the city.

We stayed post-cruise at the Hilton Stockholm Slussen and found it the best of both worlds - it is right across the bridge from downtown so quieter but within easy walking distance of the downtown sites.

We stayed at the Sheraton using our Marriott reward points.  It was also the hotel that Oceania used for their Post Cruise Hotel option.

We stayed at the Haymarket by Scandic in the Norrmalm neighborhood.  Good location. Near light rail stations.  Very nice, and very reasonable rates.

Grand Hotel has gotten a rave review from friends as a classic 5 star place, and it appears to be Regent Seven Seas go-to for pre and post cruise stays.  We have booked it for Fall 2022.

Grand one of best in world.  Have stayed there three times and loved it every time.  Best location also.

I just booked the Marriott Stockholm with points, 40K per night, for a pre cruise stay next August. Will watch the rates and if they go down I will cancel and rebook. That sometimes happens with Marriott points.

I won't recommend the hotel we used since it was so many years ago ... It was inexpensive and well worth the visit BUT while not far from the center of town, not walkable.  As I recall we took the bus into town (not a long trip).

 

BUT I would like to make sure that no one forgets a visit to the Vasa.  And across the street (back when we were there) as a lovely handicrafts museum.

 

Somehow long ago I lost my diary from our time there but Stockholm is wonderful, with much to see.

We stayed at the Downtown Camper hotel by Scandia prior to a Baltic Cruise. It was close to everything, easy walking distance to all the sights in Stockholm. Breakfast was amazing, definitely get down early if you don’t want to wait in line.

Agree about the Hilton. Stayed there post cruise a few years ago for one night. As we had an early flight out 2 days later we stayed at the airport Radisson Blue and had a good meal at Marcus Samuelsson's restaurant at the airport.

Seeing the Vasa is well worth it! Amazing history of both the ship and King Gustavus Augustus, who fancied himself a direct descendant of the Roman Emperors.

We stayed at the Sheraton for 2 nights pre-cruise in 2017 and thought it was terrific. Nice accommodations, great location, good service and reasonably priced.

Thanks!  That's our plan:  one night post-cruise at Hilton for two days of sightseeing, then taxi to Radisson at the airport for early flight out on third day.  Was planning to have dinner at the Radisson hotel restaurant, but I will check out Sameulsson's.
