Just been to a wonderful Azamazing evening in lovely Valencia in the spectacular City of Arts and sciences

We enjoyed a story woven around a little girl and the sea.  Included 5 Flamenco dancers, acrobats, trampolines, lovely music and a fun group of Bangra acrobats. The young girl was fabulous as were all the large cast.  Azamara at its best.

Can you tell us who the CD, Hotel Manager, and Captain are on Journey currently?  We board in Amsterdam in at the end of the month for the Iceland Intensive. The Spain intensive is also high on our list, so looking forward to following along!  Have a wonderful time!

Meet and Mingle was on our first day at 5.45. Listed in the daily ‘Insider’. Well attended. Drink and canapés. Cruise Director said a few words. Embarkation day Saturday June 3

Wow, you actually got the cruise director there ? On our last two cruises the events were 6pm on embarkation day, but no Azamara people there at all and no drinks etc.

Tomasz the HD on Journey is very good at ensuring events are supported - he is old school!

We were just there on an Atlas cruise last month. The entire Arts and Sciences complex is beautiful. Excellent zoo in Valencia, too - Bioparc Valencia

Looks like a great Azamazing Evening! Enjoy the rest of your cruise. We leave for Venice tomorrow to catch Onward on Saturday for a B2B

We had a great time visiting Cartagena yesterday. Toured some city highlights and then had a detailed tour of the ancient Roman ruins with ann  archeologist who brought the ancient ruins back to life. Upon returning to ship we enjoyed the spa’s sanctum which is free access to guest in Club Continent suites and above. Wish that was the case on Onward.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Patio. With only a couple of tables being occupied it was like having your own private chef.
Went to the Cabaret and enjoyed a great comedian who brought back the days of yore.

Just arriving Malaga and need to get ready for our next adventure.

Life is very good on the Azamara Journey.

Was anyone able to sign up for a M&M? I presume yours was on embarkation day, we are on the next Journey and have independently chosen a place and time (depending on drill). At the moment I think there will be six of us unless Azamara posts on the Insider but unless registered how will they know!
Have a great cruise can’t wait for Bordeaux boarding.

Yesterday we had a beautiful day to enjoy Malaga. We did a guided walking tour around city center, palace, Roman theater ruins and San Maria Cathedral. The tour included two stops for tapas and drinks. First dinner in Discovery and food was great a wait staff highly efficient.

Today we arrived Gibraltar with cloudy skies and light drizzle. We did a private tour with two other couples. Saw the stunning Michael’s Cave, the man made tunnels with fortifications and of course the dramatic and historical Rock. The monkeys were aggressive and two jumped on my shoulders at same time. I remembered our guide stating what ever you do don’t touch or swat at them. Two good shrugs and they were gone. Good tour and guide. Headed to Aqualina in an hour.

Life is good on the beautiful Journey.

Arrived safely in Venice this morning for three days of sightseeing before we board Onward on Saturday. Here's the view from our hotel room.

In Gibraltar harbor hundreds of dolphin sightings and now we are on our way to Seville enjoying a large dram of single malt whisky on balcony after our outstanding dinner at Aqualina followed by a great crew production show. Can tell we are in a major shipping lane as 15 ships in view here on our port side. The Mediterranean and Atlantic meet which makes the importance of Gibraltar more evident.

Great experience.

What do you have on your plate?  Always looking for good things to have in Aqualina.  Recommendations?

My ancestors on my mother side were from Seville.  Make sure you get a very good seat to see how they enter Seville.   It was really amazing on our Azamara cruise.  Very special because so many ships can not dock in Seville.

Christopher Columbus' tomb at the Cathedral is very fancy.  We walked up the tower at the Cathedral to see the view.  We passed young people, going up to see the view, who were half our age because the walk up can be challenging.  Have lots of fun. Thank you for all the post from your trip.

Tomato Caprese for starter. Then watermelon salad and homemade gnocchi with Italian sausage with a too die for marinara sauce that I asked for extra sauce. Wife had the Branzino and loved it.

Great dinner in Prime C tonight on our two night over stay in Seville, Spain on Journey.

Toured Seville Cathedral today the largest Gothic church in the world and third largest in Europe. Only St. Peter’s in Rome and St. Paul’s in Rome. Plus it’s golden gilded altar is the largest in world. Maybe pics on a separate post. Excuse menu clips but when asked I got a full slab menu which was hard to copy.
A great dinner and fantastic wait staff.
