Casino set up with medallion?

The first machine you try to play will lead you through the steps. You just need your medallion and your shipboard account needs to be using a credit card. (It may work if you have deposited cash into your shipboard account...don't know if they are still doing that. )

If you are thinking of Roulette, Black Jack or Craps the guy asks you to remove the medallion from its holder.  Someone fills in piece of paper which I believe you sign then they pass the disk back with your chips and a receipt as I recall.

Blackjack was an option on my cabin TV. In order to play I was able to set up a Casino account on the TV by adding my remaining OBC. I decided not to play, closed out the account, and went to the casino to pick up the cash.

If playing slots, each machine has a place to tap you medallion. The first time you play, you will be prompted to set  up a 4 digit pin. Then you can choose how much money to charge your shipboard account, or enter cash into the machine.

When you are done playing that machine, you cash out and the funds are transferred to your casino account which is different for your shipboard account. You can cash out at the casino cashier at anytime.

Beware of Slots and Medallions.  If you are not paying attention to the bottom screen, the machine will log you out.  You need to frequently (every 10-15 minutes) let the machine know you are still there.  This was a pain in the "okole".  Several times, the machine logged me out.
