Royal Caribbean is launching a new  `enhanced’ cruise planner for Australia . I just got a email to try it .

It is enhanced alright. Standard price for the booze package is $117 , Internet from $29  and specialty restaurants are really over the top.

My cancelled radiance cruises I got the Internet for $14 ,let’s hope prices come down.

Micheal, Do you know where Spectrum is from July to October?

It seems to be absent from Singapore, I found something it’s going to Shanghai but I don’t think that would be right.

I have no idea, but find it strange. Don't think it will be heading to China. I thought when they redeployed her to Singapore it was year round.

So it looks like Lelepa will be open  October 2024.

I wonder if Royal Caribbean will surprise us with a new ship.

Wondering how and when Carnival will respond.

It’s only 4 months away and a lot can happen in 4 months. Shanghai is just going into lockdown and it looks like Covid is taking off.

Anyone in their right mind wouldn’t be sending a ship to Shanghai.

Hong Kong is a slight possibility but that didn’t work out.

It would be nice to see it here doing tests and taking a few of our nurses out like they did with the fire fighters.

Actually I would like to be on one of those cruises with all those nurses.

Didn’t Carnival Group have something going with a Island in the Solomon’s?

I don’t think it was as good as Lelepa ,just a exclusive deal with there ships?

I would have thought the Solomon’s is just too far away from Sydney - 1900 nm.
Vila is less than 1600 nm.

Talk of Chinese military presence would have put at end to it anyway.

Surely Singapore, but where will they cruise to?  The locals must be tiring of 3/4 nights to nowhere.

I’m not up with carnival but before the pandemic they where making a agreement there somewhere. You are right a long way from everything.

As for spectrum,I don’t know ?

RC has Shanghai on sale July to October this year but the virus is starting to rage in Shanghai.

I have good current information that Lelépa will operate year round (as we would expect).
Question is how many Royal ships will stay in Australia in the southern winters?  I guess it’s one for each of Brisbane and Sydney with a third ship being shared with Alaska.  There will be less TPs.

A Celebrity ship to stay as well?

That’s great, the money  invested they couldn’t have it empty for 6 months of the year.

I wonder if they would let Carnival use it ?

I remember, I think it was coco cay they where going to have accommodation .The plan was you could do half a cruise stay a few nights and get on the next ship.

I wonder if they will try that pie in the sky again?

No.
Sounds like something a self-described marketing genius would come up with.

Cruise mapper has it on there website and exclusive for RCG ships.

Right, so Celebrity will call there.   But will that encourage Celebrity to keep a ship in Australia year round?  Guess not.  Bit off topic anyway.

I know that scheme didn’t ever come to fruit.

Overnighters would be a good idea, a beach bonfire  ,entertainment and a bbq under the stars.
I would be up for that .

Then back to the ship for a good night sleep and back into it on the island the next day.

Geoff, I think there will only be one ship here in our winter, the Enchantment of the Seas. I think the Quantum & Ovation will continue the Alaska run. I think it maybe share between Sydney & Brisbane.

There’s a possibility we may be getting Spectrum leading up to the next season.

For some reason it’s being pulled out of Singapore in July and is supposed to go to Shanghai,I think the market in Singapore is saturated with cruises to nowhere.
Covid is raging Shanghai and the military has just been called in to deal with the heavy Covid-19 cases. So there’s no way it will be doing cruises out of Shanghai.

Singapore cruise schedule,Spectrum does it’s last cruise in July.
