How far south is Anthem likely to be at noon on the day after leaving NJ?

I'm daydreaming about the weather on my Anthem cruise which leaves on December 12.  I know it's likely to be chilly but I can hope for weather in the 60's can't I?

Does anyone know how far south the ship is likely to be?

I'd guess East of North Carolina

Once it leaves the channel and is in open water it will be doing about 25 mph.

In winter sailing on Anthem, in my experience, the first and last day and a half are cold.

Figure maybe 5-10 degrees warmer than NY. The current forecast means that low 60s may happen on 12/13. 

 

Biker, who hopes that's true because that will mean the Flowrider will be open.

      As far as positioning and weather . Me personally  look at it as. You can always take a layer of clothes off . Yet you'll be wishing you'd of brought them to put on if you don't have them with you !

There's an app called 'Marine Radar' that let's you see where all the ships are at any given time. And I mean all ships! Once you learn the app, you can search for the ship of your choice.  It works, to the minute accuracy isn't the greatest, but general vacinity, it's pretty good.

This was at 8:35am Dec 9th 2019, so pretty much the same time that you are going this year.

1st Sea Day:  We pretty well stayed in, hung out at The Solarium and around the ship.  

2nd Sea Day: We were outside by the pool, in the pool, nice and warm, east of The Bahamas.

Looks like Anthem was near the Outer Banks of NC around noon today.  Enjoy your cruise!

The path/speed taken on the 7 day sailings (current one) is a bit different than the longer sailings to the Eastern Caribbean which the OP asked about.
