SwimCarrie Posted December 14, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2021 Hello fellow cruisers, Unfortunately, I have had the unpleasant experience of a glitchy Medallion App leading up to my next cruise and I was unable to choose an arrival time. Well, it looks like they made some progress on the app and have assigned me Group B...but they don't actually say what time that is! 🤣🤦♀️ Can someone please let me know when Group B boards? 😁 And for those who are in a panic about the Medallion App, I went on one cruise and had no trouble with it at all and on this one, it's stuck on the Medallion screen and won't proceed. Just go with the flow...it will all get sorted out when you get to the pier.
JF - retired RRT Posted December 14, 2021 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2021 So far, the Live Froms and other posters who've been on a cruise have noted that the port people are not paying any attention to boarding groups/times. Seems to be the way it used to be...show up when you want.
jondfk Posted December 14, 2021 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2021 Answering the question asked: Group B for our upcoming cruise is 12:00 noon to 12:30. As written, these arrival groups seem to mean about as much as "progressive boarding" did in the past. 1
Nashna Posted December 14, 2021 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2021 How many days prior to the cruise were you able to get your boarding assignment?

I think we got it about 28 days ahead, I was checking "every day" but not religiously.

SeaYouThere Posted December 14, 2021 #10 Share Posted December 14, 2021 Our sail date is in 45 days. Here’s what is currently showing for Enchanted arrival times. I’m not able to actually choose a time yet though.
Nashna Posted December 14, 2021 #11 Share Posted December 14, 2021 That's exactly what I am seeing on our sailing. (Could be because we are on the same sailing...)
SwimCarrie Posted December 14, 2021 Author #12 Share Posted December 14, 2021 I'm still not able to check in and I leave on Saturday! Lol. Total glitch with the app. BUT...somehow they assigned me Group B, even though I can't advance from the medallion wearable step. 🤷♀️ I like the advice above...I'll get there when I get there. 😁

Rare geoherb Posted December 15, 2021 #15 Share Posted December 15, 2021 I was in Group B for last week's cruise on the Caribbean Princess. No one asked when I got to the port a little after 10:30. I managed to be the first new passenger to board the ship because the couples in the Elite embarkation lounge before me told me to go ahead of them. Just this morning they let me select my boarding time 69 days out. I was sort of shocked after reading all the posts of between 30 and 45 days out. Possibly they've fixed something that appears to let the app work as it should? 1

MustangGT Posted December 31, 2021 #20 Share Posted December 31, 2021 FYI - we boarded the Regal on 12/29. No one asked about boarding groups. Have your passport, vaccination card and negative Covid test results and you are good to go! Easy Peary, lemon squeezy!!
