I don’t believe they change the Eden menu on the APEX.  I think it is the same until they update the entire menu.

Have you tried all the speciality restaurants?  We're on the Apex next week and I kept the 4 night speciality package and I'm trying to finalize the restaurants to book when we get onboard.

We dined at FineCut twice and so far had Eden once and will have Eden again on the last night.  We did not try Roof Top Grill, didn’t feel like eating outside and the menu was not as interesting as the other two.  We did not try le petite chef at le grand bistro because the video concept was not appealing to us.  We originally was going to buy 3 but the 4 night package was priced so reasonably we went with the 4 night and with NO REGRET.  The food and service is another level.  I recommend you check out the other restaurants’ menu and perhaps they will become your favorite spot on the APEX!  We also did not try Raw on 5 (you get a $35.00 credit if you are using your package plan).  Le Grand Bistro for lunch is $20.00 per person.

Anyone who is following this thread and is on the Apex next cruise- make sure you go watch this guy! I’ve just seen him on P&O Azura and he was outstanding. He does an Ed Sheeran tribute which is incredible, as well as his own show with a selection of songs!

It is 1%.  I checked twice.  So about 21 people total.  1 guest plus close contacts in isolation.

Greetings

The 1% total positive threshold seems very low IMHO.  That number is over a multiday cruise.  A better indicator might be the positivity rate of those tested.  In Florida we are currently running at over 30% positivity rates.  Maybe the CDC should recommend people avoid Florida.

In 9 days we are hoping to board the beautiful APEX.  Until then we are acting like hermits trying to make sure we don't accidentally pick up this damn virus.

Good Sailing

Tom

Benny,

Do you recall the brand of Sav Blanc ( my wine of choice)  from Chile?  I usually drink it from New Zealand but would love to try one from Chile.  Thanks.

I don’t remember who asked, but we have been getting Los Cinco Soles vanilla for years.  It’s the best.  I thing I bought enough for a few years.  Available at a large shop at the pier as well as in town.

Thank you so much for this virtual tour! We're counting down the days to our 1/22 sailing, and this is really whetting our appetites. It's great to see both the ship and how much you're enjoying yourself.

Could you please snap a photo of the room service breakfast menu when you have a moment? Most breakfast venues aren't open late enough for the leisurely wake-up we prefer when on vacation, and I wonder if the menu has changed at all from S-class to E-class. Thanks in advance!

OMG thank you so much.  You have to decide for yourself and I just wanted to bring a positive attitude to what cruising is like and “show” as much as possible what life is like onboard so you can see for yourself.  You will have a great time!

Since we are coming aboard on 1/15 and will continue on to the 1/22 sailing,  I was wondering what your experience was  between your 2 cruises.....  with regard to Covid testing.  When was it done and was it efficient?   It would be interesting to know what would happen if someone would test positive at that point.  I imagine they would not be able to continue on the next cruise and perhaps have to quarantine as well. Not sure if they explained that part

Thanks again for all your marvelous coverage . We are looking forward to Saturday

How's the casino during ship days and night time?

Well we pass by it on our way to different places at night and they have about two tables open and 10% full at slots and may be 25% during a surge( not very often)  They also open at noon on sea days which I thought it’s odd because usually casino opens at 9AM but I could be wrong on when the casino actually opens.  No slot tournament (paid) listed in the planner they only had a free one on the first day.

We’re on Apex B2B next month…have you been to the Casino?  What’s the social distancing situation?  I can’t believe they can do it at the blackjack tables.

It really is not busy.  Two tables open at most nights and you can walk up and grab a seat and no one will be sitting next to you.  We were on the Mardi Gras last month and that casino was busy!

Do you mean in the ship or in the store I went?

I will do that for you … please check later posts!! It is the same as it was on the M class.  I do write in special requests on the menu within reason with things I know they have, sugar free jam, unsweetened almond milk, extra bacon, almond croissants things like that.

I did not do a back to back on this voyage.  SNJCRUISER did so hopefully when he comes back on later he will be able to provide you with more details.   Have a great cruise.  We are heading back to the cold 🥶

It is cold here and will be much colder during Bills playoff game this Saturday - around 2F with 15m/h wind (-20F wind chill)!  Cannot wait until our 25 February cruise.

Hello Benny, if you happen to stumble into the Martini Bar area on deck 3, could you please snap a pic or take a peak around the left-hand forward corner of the Martini Bar?  From the looks of current deckplans there is no access to deck 3 cabins from this area though from a build perspective there easily could be unless it's blocked off for crew only to access.  Thank you in advance!

Actually we have been there already.  You walk down the steps to the destination gateway and to the basement.

@BennyBrun  A quick question.   Do you post your movies direct from your phone or PC?   I've seen some problems on others posting direct from an iPhone that only the audio comes through.   I often have to first post to YouTube and then embed.

I post directly from the iPhone.  Is there audio on the videos I posted?  I don’t know because I don’t dare to click the play button. 😂
