I am taking a moment to apologize that it’s been so relaxing I got my days mixed up and CC is not letting me go back to edit some of the posts.  All the pictures posted today about Eden/Eden Cafe/ Eden Bar are all on DAY 2!!!  Thank you for your attention.  Back to the virtual cruise.

Greetings

We were wondering how you snuck a time machine on board  :).

Good Sailing

Tom

Where are all the other passengers? None in your photos.

By the way, those hanging chairs in Eden are very relaxing but very hard to get out of especially if you have a very low center of gravity. 😄

It’s just amazing how empty and enjoyable this ship is.  If you want to talk to someone you really have to make an effort to walk to people to talk to them.

Hahahahaha… yeah … I feel like the day is flying by but in reality it’s only been a few hours and I felt like I accomplished a lot 😝

Wow - looks like you have the ship to yourself!  The decor is interesting - did you try to sit in one of  these chairs?

I tried to sit at most of them… it’s the getting up from them that’s the comical part 😂

Day 1

There are so many buttons in the room to push.  I feel like a kid at Christmas!

Wow...I can actually respond.  Was not able to last week on board for some reason.  You can go onto the app and control the lights and blinds in your cabin as well as open your cabin door.

Day 2

I found another section of the ship I have not been to.  I also found MontBlanc.  The pen starts at 340.00 and up to 1000.00. The least expensive at the bottom the priciest at the top.

The third photo shows a grey carry on luggage. Is the price still $810. What a deal !

There you are, I was wondering if you made it on the ship last week because you didn’t say anything on any post!  Hope you are enjoying this cruise as much as we are.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful pictures and detailed account.  ever thought of being a travel agent on the side?  You have sold us on this lovely ship.  Frankly i think you have done a better job than they did on the webinar!  Now for the serious question, how on earth are you going to leave this beautiful ship?

One day last week as well as today, they had made to order creme brulee in five different varieties ( vanilla, chocolate, coffee, dulche de leches, pistachio) sugared and blow torched right in front of you.

Day 2

Eden… quite possibly the nicest smoking section on the ship… unfortunately the lady is trying to get off the deck and away from the smoke.

They made the outside area of Eden a very attractive area for the smokers, so the smokers all want to go there to the plexi-glass (?) enclosure. And that makes it nice for those of us who want to avoid the smoke because we just have to avoid that one area on deck 5. We are all happy and get what we want. lol. One of the many things I loved about Apex.

Don't you have to watch the safety video and check into your muster station? I know they were calling a lot of names on our last cruise because they didn't pay attention to that part.

It's a three part system.  The first two are videos and the third is the check in so you know where your muster station is.

Are there any secret entrances to Eden from deck 6 aft?  There looks like there could be - similar to the Anthem of the Seas back upper entrance to 270 Lounge. That was a very handy way for us to get there when our cabin was on deck 6.    Just curious.

Not that it matters, actually, because some threads were indicating that is the area they are reserving for Covid isolation/quarantine.    Does that appear to be the case to you?

I have not seen any sign about wearing masks but every passenger I saw wore mask where they are supposed to.  I haven’t seen any crew members checking masks or handing masks out at busy public areas like they do on the Mardi Gras.

That's the difference between clientele on Celebrity versus Carnival.  Over 99% of the time people are masked up indoors unless they are eating or sitting at a bar drinking or conversing.  Sip n cover is not being enforced.  With only 1300 on board last week and 1065 this week, things are going smoothly.

On Carnival there will be rebels that will push the envelope whenever possible.  Those types of cruisers can still be found on X, but will be few and far between.

Also no shows in Eden due to guest feedbacks from the Edge.

Last week they had musicians performing there, but no theatrical performances.  Tonight's 845-1015 time block could be different though.

It'll be interesting to find out if we make it to all of the 4 ports this week or not.  We are going to Costa Maya, Cozumel, Belize and Nassau.  Last week was Puerto Plata, DR and Nassau.  We docked in PP and were turned  away from Nassau.
