Day 2

Eden… the lobster is a must must must.  Do not be afraid of this menu, it is amazing!  You need to experience it yourself and decide.

Hope you wont be too let down.   E Class was  a much finer experience,

Oasis was Okay but dining , shopping and the ship itself could not compare.

It did have good music and shows but there were line ups for everything..maybe not a factor nowadays

We been on Oasis class ships before so we know it will be a different experience.  We set our expectations accordingly so that we have a great time.  We stopped doing the … well xxx did this how come xxx does not do that a long time ago and we found our cruise experience actually improved dramatically and got to see a lot of new and exciting things like The Mardi Gras.  Totally different experience but loved it!!

Thank you!!!  I appreciate that.  It’s not that I don’t like le petite chef, I just feel like I have done it once I don’t feel the need to do it again. Like we did it in the Summit, I just don’t feel we need to do it again on the Apex so soon.  Would prefer a sit down French dinner instead.

Did you see the second or third incarnation of it?  It's now Le Petite and Family.  The second was Le Petite and Friends. The menus are different.

Day 2

Guest performer at the the main theater.  Charity Lockhart paying tributes to Aretha Franklin.  She is amazing.  10% full may be?  Very easy to socially distance yourself from strangers.  The lady in red is Lauren the cruise director.

Question on Wifi start up

Just before the big pause, we were on eclipse and had to go to get the ID and set up password at the Ilounge-which of course was mobbed.

On Apex, is it as easy as the days events implies?

Favorite face time video? With grandkids showing them how the toilets flush in opposite way when in southern hemisphere.

2nd Fav? Quisine/Petite Chef

We're in an S3 suite next week on the Apex.  We have a 4 night speciality dining package.  I'd prefer the 3 night but it's sold out.  The hubby wants me to cancel because he thinks the Luminae is good so why book the speciality restaurants too.  I like to try it all.  I'm paying with OBC from the TA so I think I should keep it.

If it were me, I’d cancel. You can buy a 3-night package on board if you feel you need it or just pay for one or two meals if you don’t. The first night is usually discounted anyway - sometimes two-for-one - at least that was pre-pandemic!

Agree about Le Grand Bistro…the daily special rack of lamb on Edge in July was as good as my own!  We are due to sail on Apex B2B on February 12th…fingers crossed!

Yeah I think people are just burning the OBC because they did go through a good amount of inventory after the first day.  Unfortunately it’s old technology and you can get it for less elsewhere, but if you need to burn OBC and you don’t want to cash out at the Casino…

There’s no such thing as an iWatch! It’s an Apple Watch and I just took delivery of one last week.

Sorry I meant Apple Watch.  Trying to post on CC while on basic Wi-Fi can be a challenge so I have to let some errors go.  Sorry about that!

Unfortunately the days of discounted specialty dinning did not exist during this sailing.  Today when the server was selling specialty dinning it was slim pickings.  The Magic Carpet restaurant was sold out at $129.99 per person and the Roof Top Grill dinner was priced at $89.99 per person which was cheaper pre cruise.  They are not pushing any packages.

Yes, the Wi-Fi set up was simple and easy can can be done anywhere once you board and connect to the ship Wi-Fi.  It takes a minute or two for the device to connect so give it a minute then try to set up the account.  I love the FaceTime video about the toilet.  That’s so hilarious.  On the Apex it’s at Le Grand Bistro.  Beautiful space.
