Donovan wrote the song Atlantis in 1968. But this cruise isn't a Rock n Roll chartered cruise.

Since that didn't shed any light on things, decided to go the Google route. It soon became apparent to me just what Atlantis is all about.

Our government  has just announced it is lifting all mask restrictions in England on 26/1.

‘Boris Johnson has announced the end of all Covid measures introduced to combat the Omicron variant – including compulsory mask-wearing on public transport and in shops, guidance to work from home and vaccine certificates – from next week.

The prime minister told the Commons that the legal requirement on people with coronavirus to self-isolate would be allowed to lapse when the regulations expired on 24 March, and that date could be brought forward.’

Hopefully my cruise on board Silhouette on 21/4 will be free of masking and pre testing regs.

CNN had a really good article on how long you can wear a N95.

Thank you Jim.  Very good information.  And here is a link to a N95 mask fitting graphic from the CDC.

I would be woefully disappointed and likely no longer sail with Celebrity if they were to go mask=free or test=free so soon. It would be irresponsible and dangerous.

Understand that.  We're on the other side of the crowd...no longer sail if masks required.  Tried it 5 times - we're done.  Still believe the general public is one-and-done after trying it, and that's where the cruise lines are in a tough spot.  They need to figure out if they can survive on 30-50% capacity, because they're not getting above those #'s w/ all of these protocols in place.

Funnily enough, masks are not really discussed here in Germany. People in general comply because it seems to make sense and has never really become a political debate. We’ve also done 5 cruises since summer 2020 and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. We have felt very privileged to be able to do so and very safe on all the cruises thanks to the measures.
