There are also regular Havana balconies on decks 6-9 as well as Havana interior cabins on decks 5-9. Yes, I know this. The cabins in the photos are the ones I could care less for. fuddrules Posted January 25, 2022 #77 Share Posted January 25, 2022 Just think when the Havana experience debuted on the Vista 2016 Mediterranean - no one wanted to book it. We upgraded our 3 kids to a Havana Cabana at almost no additional cost from a regular balcony. Now - many are fighting to get in and/or keep others out.🤩

Honestly I considered Havana on my Panorama cruise but it just was not wort it. I am fine with Deck 15 and the Havana Bar. And yes I have the means to pay for a Havana Cabin but I decided to do Shore Excursions instead. But your deck 15 Serenity on the Panorama does not have a pool and has chair hogs. If you think Havana is not for you, you're fully entitled to your opinion. It will just allow those that fully appreciate and comprehend the benefits of the Havana area to invest in the area and enjoy it. Of course this is applicable to the 3 Vista Class ships. It's not worth it on the Excel Class.

So, you care less about the cabanas because of the privacy issues. What about the private aft cabins that are just like all other aft cabins or the Havana inside cabins? With these options you get the privacy you want and the exclusivity that the area provides.

You pay extra for a balcony, others in the know, like Jamman54 pay a little less extra for the inside Havana area experience. You get your 40+ extra square ft with 2 upright chairs and a table. He gets a pool, 2 hot tubs, 2 feet soaking tiki huts, chaise lounges and clamshell beds. The voice of experience knows where the value lies. 😉 4

Absolutely right, value is subjective and everyone has different budgets and requirements, some low roll inside, some wouldn't even cruise in a inside at all, some only roll with suites. Nothing wrong with your opinion, even if others don't like it. Don't waste too much time worrying about what others think, they won't be on your vacation and everyone has different needs/likes/wants. There is no wrong answer, only what works for you.

All I was stating is that the extra paid for an inside Havana versus a regular balcony is that it's less money and more value. Not busting on Jamman, that's your apprehensive reading. Travel experience? That starts from the first a time a cruiser places their feet on a ship. Experiences start from that day. Day one can be just as important as the person that has five thousand sea days. Were Both Diamond members with about the same amount of sea days , is that what your considering?. One has less experience than the next. Even that person that has one sea day. No huge benefit in that. 🤣 Edited January 26, 2022 by BasicSailor

dianef Posted February 18, 2023 #96 Share Posted February 18, 2023 If two people get casino rates and book 2 in Havana area and 2 in another area to take advantage of rate do they say at check/in they want to switch people in cabins so couples stay together or have to go to guest services so the right people get wrist bands to use Havana area?Do they put Havana wrist bands on at check or leave it in your cabin? OP, as well as myself, are not trying to "sneak" in. Just getting/using what is paid for. If I pay for a havana room, I'm dam sure going to use it, just like anyone else who pays for it. As far as the ship within a ship, get ready for everything to turn into à la carte. You'll see. DW and I have witnessed numerous people tossed out for trying to skirt the Havana access rules on Horizon and Panorama. One on Panorama was so belligerent that ship security was called on her. This *is* (thankfully) enforced.

On Horizon the wristbands were in the cabin in an envelope. We got 4 for 2 people. The steward said that somebody had booked our cabin before us but canceled. So we got theirs and ours in 2 different envelopes. We gave the other 2 back to the room steward.

I know you can only access the Havana Pool during the day if you have a Havana Room. I have heard of families booking multiple rooms and assigning people in rooms to save money, then re issuing room keys at Guest Services. How would that work for the Havana Pool? I want to book a non Havana Balcony with my offer and put my husband in a Havana room with his offer. We'd be travelling with our son, who could go in either room. Would they allow us to get room keys so we can all access the Havana Pool? (my son is over 12 so no issue there). We put our teens in a Havana interior. They honestly weren’t interested in going there. None of the friends they made on the ship had access.

And buying wristbands from E Bay won't get you anywhere either. The colors change week to week, and you have to be wearing it to even get in; your Sail and Sign has a sticker on it too. If you tried to buy anything at the bar, you'd be asked to leave at that time. The area is monitored and enforced regularly. I love those cabins, and do not mind the upcharge to stay there. But it would really make me mad if someone who didn't pay the extra tried to skirt around the system. Couldn’t agree move…I felt so uncomfortable when I spent a few hours in Haven on NCL Bliss as wasn’t a guest of that level. Should’ve had to walk the plank. I left before the gig was up. Wouldn’t enjoy daydreamer in my Havana experience this July.
