New to Celebrity and will be sailing on the Apex in a couple weeks. While I have reserved several Speciality Restaurants for our cruise, we chose Anytime Dining for the MDR meals.  I just noticed there are reservations for Complimentary Dining on the website. Do I need to have made reservations for Tuscan, Normandie......??? Times are quite limited now and I will be annoyed if I didn't know this was necessary!! I just assumed Anytime meant Anytime??

Reservations are available but not required. It is possible to go to any MDR and request a table. It is possible that there will be a wait, but you absolutely can just go to dinner whenever you like.

Thanks! That's what I was hoping but wanted to check just in case.

Global Entry has been rendered obsolete since they are started using Facial recognition for CBP reentry. All you do is go to one of the several Queue lines and step up to the Video Camera mounted on a pole. You look into the monitor, drop your mask, and in two seconds it will confirm your identity as a US Citizen and you can proceed. No need to show your passport. Best thing to ever happen at a cruiseport!

Canadians walk off this way also. But they do tell you to have your passport handy in case your face has changed?

1. No covid announcements.

2. No missed ports you could explore all of them on your own.

3. All shows went as scheduled.

4. I was given a regular surgical mask at one of the restaurants but never saw them giving anyone a N95.

sounds like a good cruise then given how things could have gone.

I am doing the Edge this fall and hoping for the best as well.

If they have the Deal no Deal game, I will skip as I don't really understand it and there are other things like the marriage show.  toodles

We never reserved and just showed up and always got seated immediately. Plenty of empty tables granted we ate at 7 don't know what would have happened if we showed up earlier but doubt it would have been a problem.

I'm very confused about the posts about masks.  We were on the Celebrity Edge in November and no masks were required.  I don't see anything about mask requirements currently on the Celebrity Covid 19 page?? We are thinking of book in mid-march but will not book if masks are required on board.

Just received an email today regarding our March 27 Edge cruise. This is policy as of today. Note the last sentence. Can not predict the future.

While Onboard
Effective February 12, 2022 face masks will be optional on board for vaccinated guests unless attending activities in The Theatre or Casino.  Masks will continue to be required for unvaccinated guests, at all times indoors, except while eating or drinking. This policy will be re-evaluated on a continuous basis

Hi - thanks for answering questions.

While compiling info about Edge, I saw the Retreat referenced as an "adults only Lounge and Sundeck." I know Aqua is adults only, but I thought families could book suites.

Are minors not allowed in the Retreat Lounge & on the Sundeck if their families are in suites, or is this just misinformation.

Thank you.

I think your level of risk tolerance is right for you. It's not overly cautious. It is the right level of caution for you. And that is ok. No one knows your circumstances better than you.

Love that answer !

Hi, boarding soon...wifi included onboard, is it worth paying for more just to text and read newspapers?

Thanks

Reading the newspaper might be a “no-no” depending on how they display their pics.  I found any sort of media (pics, gifs, JPEGs, etc) would hang up the standard browsing.  I had NO issues with the streaming internet plan.  But, this was on the EDGE this past summer.  Things may have changed on the APEX.

Hi!  Some coffee questions 🙂  Do they have flavored creamers?  Can I get like a sugarfree latte, meaning with sugar free syrup and unsweetened almond milk (like NutPods or something similar)?  We do have the basic drink package.

Also, any trouble getting lounge chairs by the main pool on sea days?    Royal was always horrible with this.

Can't answer the coffee question, but these days, with only 1100+ onboard, chairs shouldn't be an issue.

Sorry can't answer coffee questions but we had no problem getting a lounger by the pool. Always some available.
