At the end of the excursion we had a look round the port. Is it just me or does anyone get put off buying if you get hassled when looking round a shop by pushy sales people?! . I like to look round at my leisure and if something catches my eye I will ask questions and I'm likely to buy. But if I get harrased I will just walk out of the shop...that happened several times today ...and we were looking at nice jewellery...so if they had left me in peace they may have made a good sale !! .

We headed back to the ship for a cold drink and did a mix & match buffet lunch to share back in the cabin. Nachos, carribean specials of the day and some salad.

I'm the same way, I like to shop on my own time without people being in my face  (but I'm also from London where people don't speak lol)

lol maybe but I find selling techniques are more aggressive in certain places - depends on the store but also where you are. I am from London but live in Canada so do find things are different and I'm shy so really just want my own space.

I've discovered that you can use the app to look at the drinks menu in different bars....but beware - the staff at the pool bar told me they could make me a drink I really enjoyed from the Sunset bar...a Sangria Spritz ....tasted like a totally different drink !! 🤣🤣

After a very long nap...sorry there is def a theme to this cruise... we went and watched the 9pm show in the theatre-  the magic guy Steve Marshshall..he was okay.  Then we headed to the casino to swap some of our extra OBC ( from excursions we cancelled) for chips. We broken even at roulette and cashed out to convert the OBC into cash . We then used our free $5 each slot play. I don't play slots but enthusiastically pressed buttons on  the machine o had chosen and won $33 🙂. By then it was midnight  and we realised we weren't in the mood for pizza - so headed back to the cabin and ordered some burger & fries , chicken skewers & a pot of coffee they were really tasty .

Docking at St Maarten today was 7 - 4. We had decided we wanted some beach time. We got up about 8am and grabbed some coffee's & muffins from Al Bacio , then headed off the ship and following advice on the port threads on Cruise critic - headed for the water taxi $7 return - and went to the beach. The short 10 minute ride was fun and we easily found 2 sunbeds & an umbrella for $15 . We enjoyed some swimming in the sea (lovely sandy beach ) and some bathing. Had a cold drink from the bar and then did a bit of shopping. Easy to get the water taxi back and then headed back to the ship for a cocktail and late lunch.

Considering there was 4 ships in port today ( including the reflection ) it didn't feel busy , guessing its because of the reduced capacity on all the ships .

LOVING your review!! We'll be cruising for the first time since Feb 2020 this September (but on the Eclipse), and then finally back to the Caribbean on the Millennium next February... We really love the layout of the Millie and Summit, and have enjoyed cruises on those ships several times - can't wait to get back on board!! We will also have that sunset aft view, but on deck 7... there's just something about the view of the wake that love so much. 🙂  If you get the chance, please get a picture of the staff working the martini bar.. that's usually our favorite evening bar to enjoy a drink or two, and a current pic would warm my heart 🙂

Enjoy the rest of the cruise... and keep the posts and pics coming! So many of us are living vicariously through you until we can cruise again 🙂

Sorry been a bit quiet as been resting my foot and doing ' not much' . Previous evening was literally dinner in blu - enjoyed the pasta from the clean cuisine menu . Couple of drinks, 20 minutes playing poker 'broke even' then bed.

Received the luggage tags - made me think about washing and packing for the second part of our holiday.

Yesterday  whilst Dave was playing in a texas holdem poker tournament spent some time in the Solarium- - used  the Thlassotherapy pool - first time quite enjoyed it. Used the hot tub , read my book ...boring but relaxing.

Also had to do some handwashing - not ideal and only a few bits but being away for 3 weeks - its a necessity . They were offering the $50 bag laundry challenge but I've heard horror stories and really didn't need much washing.

Had a great view of the wake whilst pegging out some washing on the balcony though - (bring a little travel washing line & a few pegs - put it between the balcony chairs- not lost anything yet !!!20220228_204106.thumb.jpg.80fd393b71220db3059fce051eedab18.jpg

Then last night was 2nd evening chic . I love dressing up as I don't get much chance at home...even cajole Dave into wearing his suit ' only gets out for weddings & funerals...so it enjoys a cruise !' . Lost a few $$ at the casino - still up though  as Dave won his poker game.  Dave has his fish allergy so we couldn't enjoy the lobster ...but the fillet mignon was good and I enjoyed the baked Alaska . We were planning on going to the sky lounge for the liar show ... but my foot was really hurting so I gave in & went to bed !

Curious if they have mentioned the cost of the post-cruise Covid tests (PCR and Rapid Antigen). Doesn’t sound like you need one for the rest of your journey but hoping they might put this info somewhere.

Now that you have been in the aft facing cabin for the past week - has your opinion changed from the beginning of the cruise? Motion, noise from below - I ask because we have an aft facing cabin(9164) in May doing the west coast.

Question ???

For those following along shall I finish when we disembark tomorrow or carry on with our day & night in Miami & trip to Vegas ?

I'd love for you to continue on! It also gives folks a chance to catch up with you with questions. And remember... sooo many of us have not travelled in at least 2 years... we're living through you!! LOL!

Hi, only had one Martini ...not that keen... not seen their great displays but not been around that area that much. If I get chance I will take a pic tonight for you.

I will have a look in the dailys and see if there is any info . I have a feeling it depended on when you booked..or made final payment as to whether you need to pay for post cruise testing but I will see what I can find out !! 😁

Okay well personal choice we wouldn't have one again.... def more motion ... bit of noise from below... we aren't particularly noise sensitive but if you were you would def notice. As I said I think because we were just above the sunset bar I felt overlooked...as in anyone sat near the rails below would be able to see us...so although we had a bigger balcony we used it less. Last cruise I used to sit out there in my robe with a drink before getting dressed for dinner .. didn't feel I could do that this time!

We love aft balconies, but have never had one where we have been overlooked. We just love the wake view, thanks for the beautiful photo of that!

please carry on your review, we are going to Vegas in May so any tips would be welcome.

Thanks, you are doing a great job of keeping our future cruise dreams alive!

Final day onboard ....Trying to rest my foot as its really sore today. Whilst Dave went off to register for a poker tournament later in the day and get himself some bacon! I decided to stay in bed and order room service breakfast. I ordered.. they told me 30-40 minutes... I was in no rush but after an hour of waiting I phoned back through and they said that they had delivered to the wrong room so had been waiting fit me to phone back to see if I still wanted it!!!. That made no sense !! Anyway eventually breakfast arrived ( I love there was a great big plate covered with a metal cloche....and underneath it a couple of slices of pineapple 🤣🤣) I spent the morning alternating between lazing reading my book & packing 😔.  Later we headed to the buffet for lunch & then to the wine tasting event we got as part of our drinks & more package.     We were quite disappointed in this ... when we attended the one on the reflection 2 years ago there were 6 stations with wine from the 6 countries - 2 or 3 wines at each station. Scoring / note cards so you could make notes as you went along and very interactive sommeliers. This time there were 3 Stations with 1 red & 1 white at each and other than describing the wine there was little interaction.

After the wine tasting Dave went off to play in a poker tournament & I headed to try out Persian Gardens.  So when I arrived I was asked if I was there  for the seminar on pain & I explained I was there for Persian Gardens . I was shown the way.... I was the only one I  there so sat on the warm tiled seating ( not as good as the tiled beds on reflection) reading my book & then stripped down to my bikini....grabbed a towel  & used the sauna ....(missed the amazing views the reflection has ... as well as the aromatherapy & cold room available on the reflection )when I came out of the sauna I found a group of about 8 fully dressed people all sat on the heated seats . They had removed my belongings from the heated seats and begun their seminar!! I felt embarrassed and grabbed my towel to wrap round me ...only to discover the towels were much smaller than those provided at the pool! I headed to the secluded rainfall shower cubicle and whilst trying to figure out which of the 4 knobs to use to turn it on /off I heard them say they were too hot on the heated seats for the seminar and they must of moved elsewhere... maybe would of been good if the Persian Gardens lady had explained to me when I arrived & asked to use it that an actual event was being held there !!

Later on after finishing packing and putting our cases outside -  before dinner we headed to the chocolate extravaganza - it was amazing to look at... and taste ...but so many people around difficult to get photos.

We then ate dinner in blu and after dinner I was planning on using the $20 of slot credit I had....then I realised it was in my evening bag...which was in the suitcase...that had already  been taken. Never mind we needed an early night anyway and we headed to bed
