We were going to do Cagney's, but after looking at the Haven dinner menu, they have all the meat I could want there. Also, most say the Haven is better than Cagney's.

Personally I like the steak the Haven than in Cagney's but my partner likes Cagney's so we go there. Change if scenery is always nice.

Don't limit yourself just to the Haven. See what else is out. You might surprise yourself. And if you don't like it, you could always go back to the haven restaurant for seconds

We've got 2 specialty meals.  I can only eat so much :). Should we do cagneys & maybe ocean blue & eat twice?

If you are into Beef, nothing is better in my opinion then the Prime Rib in the Haven Restaurant.  The specialty restaurants I usually choose are, "Ocean" and the "Japanese" because it is so much fun.  The French place is also nice however read the reviews.  The menu has changed.  I think I got the lamb chops and loved it.

You made the right decision on passing on the American Diner.  Although, I got the Blue Plate special of roast beef and it was good.  Nobody else in my party like it.  Try the Carrott cake for lunch in the Haven.  The chocolate Cake for dinner.  By the way, I don't usually like sweet things so that is a complement.

On Cagney's, If you like beef, you can't go wrong.  I will be on the Joy again in March, my first night is at Cagney's if I don't win my Haven Bid.  Please enjoy your cruise and go to see Bong at the Sugar Cane.  He is a star.  Don't miss the beatles tonight in the main theatre.

Cruise well.

Our butler's name is Marivic.  She is unpacking me as i type.  She stopped by as we were relaxing in room.  My gf wasn't comfortable with butler unpacking her.  I'm more curious to see what she did.  I have room for improvement on my organizational skills.

1700 pax 1700 crew members.

So easy to get reservations on tv.  But gonna try make myself use the butler & concierge.

Although just did our entertainment through the tv.

We're gonna have butler do one in room bday meal on Monday night.  She said to call her Monday.  The provided phone is kinda cool.  She got like 6 calls while she talked to us in our room.

Handed butler my letter I'd sent earlier.  Had two copies.  She was gonna give concierge a copy also.

We go to Cagney's for the ribeye steak. It's our favorite cut of meat. The Haven has the surf & turf (filet & lobster tail) and it's wonderful.

Packing cubes will change your life. 😁

They seriously make packing and traveling so easy (they compress so you can fit more stuff) plus my butler literally can unpack me in 10 minutes (puts the packing cubes in the drawers that I specify and then hangs up the few pieces that need to be in the closet.)

One other time when the subject of butler unpacking came up, several people mentioned they didn't want the butler touching their "unmentionables."

That never happens with packing cubes.  No one is actually touching your clothes or things. (Except items to be hung.)

Some one mentioned that we should take the cabin phone with us around the ship. Why? What's the purpose?

Call butler or call back to room or to another room.  I don't bring mine with me.  But gf n I travel together.  I'd think Would be useful if traveling with people in multiple rooms.

Or room can call phone aka gf in room & me at casino.

To call the butler or Concierge from wherever you are.  For example, you are about to reboard the ship from an excursion and you'd like to have lunch & beverages waiting when you get to your cabin. Or you are in the theater and it's chilly and you forgot your sweater. Or you would like to go directly to the casino from a specialty restaurant dinner but would like your dessert brought to your cabin and put in the fridge. And so on.

Our b2b  jan 2nd - 16th Also useful for half price laundry bags.  Think the laundry bags are made of rice paper? (joking sort of) duct tape not required but always entertaining!

Thanks! Were you able to find out what happened to the traditional Haven loungers?  I'm on a B2B on the Joy this year and the loungers are important to me! 😊

I can find out.  This is our 1st time in haven.

So I'm not sure I'd know the difference between traditional loungers vs loungers in pool area/deck area?

Marivic was our butler first of December. She kept us well supplied in goodies.

She's been awesome.  1st day she stopped by introduced herself ran through things.  Taught me phone.  Her phone rang probably 6 times from different people.

While gf was talking to her i of course had to mess with her/joke with her & call her using the handy phone.  She laughed dShe figured out pretty quick that she was in the room calling her.

The regular Haven loungers are heavy rattan (hard to move!) with thick cushions and terry cloth removable covers. (Not my photo.)20180602_113725-1068x519.thumb.webp.b59dd7020bec914873eda1da9fe473b9.webp

The loungers on your balcony look uncomfortable compared to the traditional ones. 😢

We have a small balcony.   The big loungers wouldn't fit on ours.

Edit: the two chairs & small table barely fit & let us in & out of our door.  Still love our room.

Guy that upgraded out of this room mentioned on a Farce Bouk page that he upgraded to get larger balcony.

Sometimes, you'll get 2 like that. Sometimes, it will be one and a typical sundeck lounger. The colors have also changed over the years. BA/GA/Escape have the lighter tan colored while Joy/Bliss/Encore are more chocolate colored.

Seat cushions are also random. Some balconies have them, some don't. I think that people "borrow" the seat cushions and forget to return them. 😒
