jlnfan Posted February 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2022 I forgot to cash out all of my celebrity winnings on my last cruise. I located a slip of paper with over one hundred dollars on it. Does anyone know if I would contact Celebrity that they might help me get the cash?

Rare Jim_Iain Posted February 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2022 I'm not a gambler but a big gamer friend of mine told me they were valid for something like 2 to 6 months. I don't think you can cash it in via Celebrity buy you might find out about the validity period and either use it next cruise or give it to someone cruising. I hope some gambler can give you better advise.

jlnfan Posted February 24, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted February 24, 2022 Thank you to all for your response. I didn't think I could redeem my money from home. Lesson learned..
norm@nh Posted February 25, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2022 How long ago was your "last cruise"? If your cashout voucher is still valid, perhaps somebody on this forum with an upcoming cruise could cash it in for you. Even if you split the money with somebody it's better than letting go to waste.
Rare Fly and Sail Posted February 25, 2022 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2022 The voucher is automatically voided at the end of each cruise. Last time there was a reminder on the last evening to redeem all points and vouchers as they will not carry over, even for B2B cruisers.
dazey Posted February 25, 2022 #8 Share Posted February 25, 2022 We were on a Celebrity cruise in Italy when there was a bad storm and the ship crashed into another and our cruise was stopped totally. Had to be bussed to Rome in buses in the middle of the night. I was able to cash in any slips I had due to this type of circumstance. I just called when we got home and they told me to present it to the cashier on our next cruise as they would note this in our file. They also allowed me any remaining money I had earned while playing. I was surprised but certainly was the correct thing to do considering when happened. WonderMan3 Posted February 25, 2022 #9 Share Posted February 25, 2022 Someone literally posted a copy of a Celebrity ticket voucher above that clearly states that tickets expire at the end of the cruise. The OP’s question was answered with that post. Why do people continue posting things contrary to that?

I do recall a 2007 Millennium cruise being aborted while docked at Civitavecchia because the ship's starboard propeller was damaged from hitting a rock at Villefranche..... According to the way I read the voucher. My question to my friends was regarding a B3B that I have a huge NR OBC and was whether I could buy either chips or a voucher and shift to the next cruises. I guess this is what they were referring to as one possible way. They did say the Casino Chips were marked with the ship and could not be used on a different ship but that they had taken chips home and used on subsequent trips. Now you know why i'm not a gambler if I can't figure out these little nuances. Edited February 25, 2022 by Jim_Iain

You have to look at the fine print on the back of the ticket which was also shared above; the tickets expire at the end of each cruise.
dazey Posted February 25, 2022 #14 Share Posted February 25, 2022 Mahdnc,I will have to look over my list of cruises. It was about 4 years or so ago. We were in a heavy rain and had to go to a small port to await the end of the storm. It went into the docks that were hidden by water. This was the one we had to go in the bus to Rome. It was another Celebrity that hit another ship as the rope broke but no real damage and we continued on.

I see that and it seems to be the regularly consistent inconsistency. Why would they have a 30 day validity when they don't have any cruises of that length. Friends have told me they had no problem cashing them in on a second cruise of a B2B. I'm sure enforcement is also subjective and inconsistent. Probably just gives them an out so they don't have to deal with people who forgot to cash their tickets and try contacting Celebrity after they got off the ship. They likely would honor the tickets on B2B cruises as it would just annoy guests who they have to deal with right in their faces.
Guppy99 Posted February 26, 2022 #17 Share Posted February 26, 2022 The last couple daily newsletters clearly state that you have to cash in by midnight the last night and that the tickets will not be honored on subsequent sailings. I don't know if there are isolated exceptions. I would assume they will not honor it.
