We entered the Castle and had a tour on our own.

Very appreciative.....your photos are wonderful throughout the thread, but mostly happy with these of the 'Castle'.  British Isles history, particularly 15th/16th centuries, is a strong interest of mine.  However, since I've never visited in person, these photos capture detail not found elsewhere.  I can imagine myself and the historical others moving about IN that castle.  Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Also, just read the history of the Burmese Mandalay Bell you show in your pics.......interesting and  displays 'the other' part of British rule.

Perfect weather. If you have time a walk along the river is nice or across the bridge into Eton

We did.   Thanks for arranging such a beautiful Spring Day.    It was a perfect day in paradise.

Beautiful photos as always!  The photo of "Chippy of Windsor"  made me wish I could once again enjoy some authentic British Fish and Chips - minus the mushy peas!

LOL -- Iain loves Marrow Fat Peas (where mushy peas come from) but must be Bachelor's with Mint.   It took me awhile to truly learn to enjoy them.

Luckily I got a start on my uploads.   T-Mobile was very good and the Tour Bus had high speed internet.

I have some fun pictures of the rest of the day.

I'm loving the photos. Looks like a gorgeous day on the British coast.

I was a musician in the Army for 12 years, but never got to change the guard at Windsor. Many times at Buckingham Palace, but never Windsor.

We are sailing on Beyond's inaugural cruise next week, so following your journey has been getting me even more excited. Enjoy your remaining time in UK, and the rest of your cruise(s)

After the castle we just went on a wander to get out of the touristy area.  Found a quaint workman’s pub and had a pub lunch.

did you get to see Queen Mary’s Dolls House?  I hope so.  It is amazing.

Joanie

We did.

Unfortunately, no photographs inside any of the Castle.    I sure wanted to sneak a picture.

The detail of the furniture, flowers, cars etc of the doll house were incredible.

We were at the main entrance.   They said it would be at 11:00 but it was pretty much finished by 11:00 and they marched up to the Castle.    We have friends that got some good video at the Top of the Upper Quadrangle, which would be about 11:10 to 11:15.

I hope you get as good of weather as we had.    Very comfortable with just T-Shirts.
