First impressions definitely positive! Gigis was excellent. Headed to room via our muster station, which is Vista Lounge. The quick glimpse of what we have seen so far is beautiful! The room is pretty standard and doesn’t yet have mini bar BUT for the first time ever, the robes are waiting for us! There is a surprising amount of paper info on the desk but, given the app glitches, maybe it’s for the best! Two blue masks provided- we have our own K95.

We were whisked through the elite line, checked in, and now sat in the elite lounge with boarding group A card in hand. It is 10:30am. I don’t know that I have ever been this early before.

Glad to learn that they now have elite group cards. 👍

Those were not provided for the inaugural cruise where all elites pushed to the lounge’s door to stand while waiting for up to 15 minutes for buses.

I'm not sure if you know this, but the ship will not turn around after pushing away from the pier with the thrusters. It will back out to the mouth of the port where there is enough room to turn. That way, the pointy end will be facing your direction of travel. 🙃

I am loving looking at the artwork. Every hallway is lined with photos of locations around the world. The over all decor is sleek and modern, with still a princess feel in places like the piazza. But the artwork is lovely.

If there's enough room, they will turn and go forward out of the harbor. We did on the Majestic in January.

Just had an announcement that lots of guests have not yet checked in to muster station or watched safety video. Oops. It would be so easy to fix this - just don’t activate medallion until it is complete! One note though is that we checked in to muster station before going to our room and then watched the video in the room. Neither was recognized and it still said we hadn’t completed it. We checked in again when walking around and then put the video on to play when we went to unpack. Second time round it worked and said it was complete.

Our steward came to say hello and I immediately forgot his name. He said service only once per day but to let him know if we needed anything. That’s fine with me. Mini bar arrived. I will get a picture of what was included when I go back to room. No vodka so maybe a shortage of that?

Spent the afternoon between pool and hot tub and now waiting for sail away party. The music is loud and obnoxious all of a sudden!

First Dirty Banana of the trip!

No vodka, but plenty of the old 50th anniversary in Alaska napkins! 🙂

Good catch!  And it's a new ship so it's not like there was a box laying around down in the bowels of the ship.

Just left sailaway for our dining reservation in Ketchikan dining room. Definitely understaffed. We’ve been sat here 15 minutes already and no one has taken our order. BUT we got a free glass of champagne from the naming ceremony. Lol. It’s ok. I’m still working on this drink that I asked the bartender to make me something special!
