Been 6 years since I have cruised on Princess. I am cruising on Caribbean Princess in beginning July with my mom, and wondering if we are able to bring a 12pk cans, or plastic bottles of Dr Pepper onboard for her? We have brought on wine and soda in the past, but did not know if things have changed regarding that. Thanks in advance.

Before we started getting the drink package, we always stopped at brought our own - caffeine free.   We put them in a cardboard box and put a luggage tag on them.  Always brought duct tape to tape them up.    Last time we still brought a 12 pack.    I always print a couple extra luggage tags - never know if you may need one.

From section 5 of the Passage Contract:

  • Guests are also prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages on board that are packaged in bottles. A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought on board on embarkation day, only if carried on in Guests’ hand luggage (not in checked luggage). A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.  Guests will be asked to discard open beverages in plastic containers prior to boarding.

supposed to be in carry-ons now.  Before Covid you could pack them in your checked baggage.  You could now strap a case to a rollo bag and bring it as carry-on.

For me, I will just carry a case with me as my only carry-on will be a small back pack.
