The crew was fantastic and also the Passengers, all very friendly not the rowdy bogans as portrayed.

Agree with that, many new to the job and did make us laugh a few times, Breakfast in the Waterfront I was asked if I wanted coffee, said ok but nothing came, called the steward over asked for coffee, he was very apologetic and quickly got me coffee poured it black and disappeared, no milk or even sugar on the table, called him over again, more apologies and quickly got the milk and sugar, then realised we had no tea spoons……..just smiled and used the butter knife!

Then each time in the restaurants the matre d would tell the waiter our table number but on one occasion we did what seemed a circuit of the waterfront before the waiter turned and said I need the plan to find the table, we just laughed and said no worries take your time but he couldn’t apologise enough.

The funniest thing I had heard in a while was being escorted in for lunch. The new waitress doing the job asked one of the waiters where table 144 was. He replied blank faced - next to 145. I thought it was funny, my wife thought it was funny, the waiter and his sidekick were laughing, the new waitress was not amused.

Has Chilli jumped overboard from Pacific Explorer or died from P&O food poisoning, lol.

You don’t get rid of me that easy uncle Les.

Maybe I had fallen in love with one of those P&O cougars ?

Graham say I would fit in.

Indeed, were there plenty of dinner suits in the Mdr?

P&O don't have a formal night. On the seven-night cruises they have a 'cocktail night', and a couple of theme nights (Gatsby, Bianco and back to school).

Oh dear, sounds .1195650427_OIP(1).jpg.526c73a793478cb78124bb5639215879.jpgI can hear the Cruiselings and Zoltina J after me.

They did have a cocktail night on our recent 4 nighter.

Not the usual short cruise crowd, but there were quite a few suits, tuxes & ties. In keeping with the code, we dressed up but not to that level - for me it was trousers and collared dress shirt, which is the intent of their cocktail night standard.

I don't know what their minimum cocktail standard is, but you would likely be OK with smart casual looking like you are heading for the first tee.
