jbrooksodh Posted June 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2022 So I was looking at NCL website and it appears the drink package we have for an upcoming cruise "open bar" does not include coffee, bottled water, or fresh juice. Do we need to book the higher level package to get those? Unsure as we typically cruise Royal and the package is pretty much everything. Rare KeithJenner Posted June 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2022 Yes, you would need to upgrade to the Premium Plus package for those things to be included.

Dcoy Posted June 10, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2022 You can also preorder a water package which will have bottled water delivered to your cabin the first day.

It's a little pricey. 6 liters, about $20. 12 liters, about $36. 24 liters, about $54. There's some change in there, mostly to your favor. Keep in mind, the water on the ship is perfectly safe to drink and doesn't taste bad, at least on the Bliss is didn't. But I get it, some people prefer bottled water. Another option is to bring refillable water bottles with filters in them. A lot of people do that too. Full disclosure, we do buy some water for our room. I'm just not a fan of getting water at a bathroom sink. lol

Not at all unpleasant to drink straight from the carton (unlike cafeteria milk).

dexddd Posted June 11, 2022 #13 Share Posted June 11, 2022 Wait... The YT video I partiality watched yesterday from Hxxx Travel said all that was included with regular suites. More mis-information than facts.

Hopefully this means that you'll give NCL $$$ for overpriced "proper" bottled water. That will help keep costs down for the rest of us.😎
UKstages Posted June 12, 2022 #15 Share Posted June 12, 2022 yeah, the "paper" cartons are a nonstarter for me... could be perception, could be actuality, but it alters the taste of the water for me. actual "bottled" water is available with the upgraded drinks package, sparkling and still. bottled water is also available at no cost in the casino for those with elite casino player cards or who are traveling as a guest of the casino or through most land-based casino affiliated bookings. Akheila Posted June 12, 2022 #16 Share Posted June 12, 2022 Regarding the cost of upgrading, for us there may be value. However all value may be lost if some of the higher end inclusions are lost due to supply chain issues. I understand they put the disclaimer subject to availability. However for those recently onboard....what's the experience been like? I can likely get the value with the dragon fruit refresher and a shot of gin, and bottled water. So what's happening onboard? We were on the Jade back in April and easily covered the cost of the upgrade with coffeee, sparking water and champagne. I had a bottle of wine in a couple of restaurants as well, and that wine was certainly better than the by the glass options available on the standard package. I didn't see any big availability issues (there seemed to be a good selection of top shelf spirits and few wines not available. The biggest issue was getting the correct drinks at specific bars. A few bars didn't have sparkling water and getting the champagne was difficult with some waiters.

jbrooksodh Posted June 12, 2022 Author #19 Share Posted June 12, 2022 Appreciate all the responses- would definitely be worth the upgrade as I love coffee and expensive whisky, wife wants fresh juice in the am, and we both drink a ton of bottled water. I understand adding it to the specialty restaurants and the drink package; you have waiters/bartenders serving you. But for the steward to dump some water boxes in your room?
