Enchanted Currency Exchange

Best deal is usually thru your major local bank that offers service.  Did it in AZ for our 2019 Italy trip and got a great US/Euro exchange rate and no extra fees ....... Euros remaining at end of trip were easily returned/exchanged at same bank.

The rates on the ship will be miserable, wether it is a machine or a human. We estimate what foreign currency we will need and call the order into our bank. It takes 1-2 days for them to get the shipment. Also, AAA has foreign money but call ahead. Our bank had the cheaper fee.

ATM onboard only dispenses US$ does not change currency. I rarely use them because of the fees.

We have BofA, and are Not charged an ATM fee.  I think it depends on the type of acct you have.

Onboard, the ship ATM machine in casino usually dispenses US $50's.  Not really the denom most folks are looking for.

I'm usually pretty bad about getting currency ahead of time.

Usually I end up using ATM at major airport we fly into, and get local currency there.

I've also used EU banks that have ATMs outside their branch, and been able to get $$ there as well.

I have been able to change US currency for smaller denominations of US currency at Guest Services at no charge. Depending on availability, they may or may not do it.

Thats true. Also when the casino is Open, the cashier can change bills for you.

As long as you don't ask for too many small bills.

Hi CalLuvsCrusing,

My wife and I live in Redding, North of you by about 2:50 hours.

We also use BofA and pre-order foreign currency from them (in this case Euros).  That can be done online or on your BofA phone APP.    If you order a 1,000 or more, with local bank pickup, you are not charged a fee.   We ordered mixed bills, however the bills are mostly large, like hundreds. In the future, I will order small denomination currency.  I have heard that in some cases, banks build fees into the exchange rate thought.

We are on the 11 Day | Grand Western Mediterranean Ship: Enchanted Princess Barcelona,  Spain Departure Date: Oct 21, 2023, but will be staying in the Hotel Claris for two nights before departure on the Enchanted.

Maybe we will bump into you on the boat?

Yep we know where Redding is! lol

Thanks for the info!  I have tried asking about M&G or gettogether on our Rollcall,

but there doesn't seem to be any interest..... so will be on the lookout for you 😊

But, were always Masked onboard outside our cabin.  So be on the lookout for Gray masks!😷😁
