Fight breaks out on Royal Ship

Recommended Posts

I hope they were all forced to stay in their cabins and removed at the next port. Regardless of the comments that short cruises attract this type of mentality and behavior (which I have also personally witnessed) if Royal doesn’t do anything and allows these incidents without consequences, it sets a precedent. Their behavior was disgraceful.

Rcl should deal with this in the most harsh mannor. Review cctv, find out what happend and ban those responsible for life. As well as escorting off the ship at the next port.

Rcl pride them selves on a family friendly, inclusive holiday experience and fighting of any kind should not be tolerated. Esp when bystanders, of all ages get hurt.

The length of the cruise or booze package price should have nothing to do with peoples behaviour. I am sure many people have enjoyed a short cruise with unlimited drinks and behaved.

I failed to mention in my post that the other worrisome point for me viewing the video is that security wasn’t there Immediately to stop the brawl. And then I only saw two crew members try to break it up, and they were not capable of handling all the much larger guests.

I see security standing around a lot on ships, and I would think they would be trained to spot a potential problem before it gets to that point. Certainly there had to be clues that showed escalation in the moments before.

I hope this was seen by Michael Bayley, because training needs to change.

Royal doesn’t want to blemish their reputation as a family cruise.

Yeah there's no such thing as trashy people with money 🙄

Not to mention, you don’t have to be anywhere near poor to appreciate a good bargain.

Agreed, however, rock bottom pricing attracts an undesirable element that otherwise doesn’t show up. Sure, you get trash at a higher price point, but not the street brawler type of trash.

Did you tip them?  😉

Should have. Fight started in back, out into MD, Dishes were smashing in Both. Physical Fight ended 2 Tables away so I had great seat to watch. Start to finish only 30 seconds but Wow!

Just imagine if this was your first cruise or if you had invited some friends along to introduce them to cruising!

THAT'S a fight?  Seriously, any high school teacher in America coulda shut that down ... and still woulda been on time for the evening's show.  It just occurred to me that now that I'm retired, I won't be stepping in the middle of fist fights any more.

Of course, the above is said in jest.  I totally agree that all participants should be put off the ship at the next port AND banned for life.  This is not how decent people behave.
