Ironing Question

I’m boarding Independence tomorrow in Port Canaveral. I have a few things I need ironed when I get my bags to the room. What is the protocol? Do I need to call an attendant when I get my luggage?

There will (should) be a laundry gorm in your room. Fill it out and leave it on the bed.

Funny story....Many many years ago I bought a travel iron onboard in the gift shop....my how safety things in general have changed over the decades.

Sort of like those dangerous, fire hazard kettles that don't seem to pose a problem in the Aussie and UK markets.  It's all about the $$.

Usually in the afternoon after boarding your cabin attendant will stop by to meet you. There should be a laundry bag in the closet to put your clothes in that need ironing.

Recently I've had a "press to dress to impress" or some such offer in my room on boarding day -- it was like $17.95 or so to press everything in the bag.

The quality of ironing is hit and miss. Fantastic one cruise then something else on the next.

I believe upper tier C&A members get a free garment pressing on formal/dress to impress nights.

Suites get free pressing for the first formal night.

I have good luck running the shower to create steam then leaving my item hanging.

Diamond plus used to get this benefit but it’s been gone since cruising started again.

Yes I knew D+ used to get it...but we never used it and certainly haven't on our last four cruises this year so I didn't even notice. Just checked our suite letter's and yes a perk for suite guest's now.

Between the Downey Wrinkle Releaser, the steam in the bathroom and a hair straighener (that I have only used on DHs tie once) I don't need anything pressed... 

since the restart I haven't worried about wrinkles... they are what they are
