Jacob0525 Posted July 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2022 We are planning to go on the Reflection in February of 2023. Is there a retreat sundeck on this ship? The ship hasn’t had the updates yet as far as I know.
jelayne Posted July 14, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2022 No the ship has not been revolutionized so no Retreat Sun Deck. We were on her in February and everything was in great shape crew was excellent.
Jacob0525 Posted July 14, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted July 14, 2022 Thanks for the reply. So they do have Luminae and Michael’s Club? Anything else for the retreat guests?
Alakegirl Posted July 14, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2022 Yes Reflection have both the Suite dining room and the Suite Lounge/Retreat/Michael’s

That's all as far as exclusive areas go. We were on Reflection last February, and we enjoyed it so much that we booked again for next February. Maybe we'll see you on board! DogLover Posted July 15, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Although the Reflection doesn't have the newest update for suite passengers, she's still an awesome S Class ship for suite sailings. We totally agree with @DCPIV, the Reflection is a great vessel and the suite experience (although not Revolted) is worth every cent! Deck 16 forward (Solstice Deck) is usually deserted and private .... a lovely place to hang out although no bar service. Also, DO NOT be there during sail away from any port ... the ship's horn will literally knock your socks off!

A key element for Suite guests is the concierge in Michael’s Club. They will arrange some special events like helipad sail away parties and (covid restrictions allowing) behind the scenes tours. They will also arrange priority tendering and you will have priority boarding at the start of the cruise and can be escorted off at the end. They will also deal with any issues you may have which you usually would take to guest services. You also have your personal retreat host (butler) who will organise your in suite dining, bring snacks to your suite (ask to organise), serve you in suite speciality teas and coffee and deal with any other difficulties you may have. You will have his phone number on boarding, just call with any requests or queries. If outside space is important to you and you are disappointed by no Retreat deck and you are not too bothered about a butler, Michael’s and Luminae you could look at alternative ways to spend your money rather than on a suite. For example, book a veranda room then rent a cabana on the sea days and book a speciality dining package. A mistake many cruisers can make is to assume that booking a suite will ‘automatically’ make your cruise better. It will only enhance your experience if you will genuinely enjoy what you will get from it on that cruise… We did enjoy our cruise on Reflection mainly because of the speciality dining options (more than other S class ships other than Silhouette). We did find the pool areas busier on sea days than on other S class ships.
cruiseerf Posted July 15, 2022 #8 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Reflection is one of my favourite Celebrity ships! Fabulous.
Rare terrydtx Posted July 15, 2022 #9 Share Posted July 15, 2022 (edited) We will be in a Sky Suite on the Reflection on Aug. 5th, and IMHO a suite (Retreat) on any Celebrity ship is better than any other non-suite cabin class. Rare Chrissi3010 Posted July 15, 2022 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2022 We were on the Reflection in May, in a suite which was wonderful. We got spoiled so much by our Retreat host Eli, for example with this superb lunch from the Porch, served on our balcony. 1
D C Posted July 15, 2022 #11 Share Posted July 15, 2022 The Solstice deck (i.e. retreat deck) is there and often very quiet. Whether it suits you or not, depends on what you're looking for in that space.
