SeattleAl Posted July 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2022 OK, I don't want to start yet another heated tipping thread. I'm not a fan of tipping in general, but try to follow what is the standard practice. Do people tip employees other than food/bar/room service and room attendants? What about the guys on the Flowrider, the bumper cars, the lifeguards, IFLY, etc? Who else should I expect to tip to follow convention? Thanks! smokeybandit Posted July 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2022 There is no convention. Tip you who want to tip. But there typically is no expectation of tipping non-service employees or officers.

flamingos Posted July 16, 2022 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2022 I always pick up a few extra envelopes at Guest Services and return them to the box they have for gratuities. There is always someone who stands out. Last cruise it was Alfredo, the guy cleaning the decks in the Solarium on Mariner. Their hot tub bubbler has a button that doesn't always work unless you know the magic - and he knows the magic. So he made our trip better by mashing the button the right way when he saw us struggling with it. It's completely up to you.
neverbeenhere Posted July 16, 2022 #8 Share Posted July 16, 2022 Standard practice is to tip fellow passengers usually by purchasing them a drink or two. 4

PompeySailor Posted July 16, 2022 #10 Share Posted July 16, 2022 I tip my hat I take my trash to the tip I buy my Q-Tips at Publix and here is a tip, don’t believe what people tell you on a tipping thread. Cow tipping is also very popular Always carry a wallet with around 100 1,s and remember to tip $1 per drink We like to tip the folks who work in the shops where no one buys anything. It’s a grind for them YMMV

Rare rudeney Posted July 16, 2022 #14 Share Posted July 16, 2022 I tip the concierge based on how much I used those services. I once tried to tip the Flowrider crew after a private lesson, and they would not accept it.
