Turk1 Posted August 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2022 Curious on when the Formal Nights are typically? On most of our past cruises the nights have been the 1st Sea day and then the Sea day the night before the last night on board. Worth dining in Main dining room or would you recommend a Specialty for that night?

cruisegirl1 Posted August 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2022 (edited) You can take a look at the menus in the app. In our experience we like the items served on formal night, and often select a specialty restaurant on another evening ,if at all. m Edited August 2, 2022 by cruisegirl1

MDR will make an effort on one of the formal nights. That being said, there is little formality on Royal any more. Few to no gowns or tuxes. Mostly resort casual and some shorts. On some ships, they have even stopped calling it "formal night" and just dress your best,,, which is very casual for most. You're on vacation and dress as you are most comfortable.
