We will be debarking the Beyond in Rome on August 18.  The day prior to debarkation we will be in Naples.  Will we have to go through customs on exiting the port in Rome?  Is it a lengthy process?  Thanks.

Italian customs on debarking the ship in Civitivecchia is usually non existent.  Zero.  Nada.  Zip.

You do immigration entering or leaving the EU.

Thanks.  We only have EU ports of call.

Then there will be no Customs.    I believe they technically have a Red Lane / Green Lane. I don't recall even seeing a Customs Agent

In the EU, Passport Check ( Immigration)can take time, if there is a line. Customs is the red/green system,  which, if you have nothing to declare,  takes zero time.

In the case presented by the OP, there won't be any Immigration or Customs at Rome, getting off the ship.
