audcc77 Posted August 11, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2022 I see that lobster is an option here. Cost says “starts at $35 pp”. What does that mean? Is lobster extra? Thanks
Rare shof515 Posted August 11, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2022 it is extra and if you want lobster expect to pay at least 35 dollars per person that wants it

Is lobster extra? Thanks Carnival offers their Steakhouse Selections at other venues (MDR on all ships, and other venues like Bonsai Teppan on Mardi Gras, for example). Those are always an upcharge from whatever the venue normally charges. i.e. in the MDR, it's $35 to get the lobster or Filet Mignon instead of a regular main. So at whatever Teppan place you are looking at, they also offer the Steakhouse Selections, for an upcharge.
Colorado Beach Bum Posted August 11, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2022 I believe all entrees are the same price. Maybe that language is incase you opt for any of the drinks that cost extra.

Mr305 Posted August 11, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 11, 2022 We did Teppanyaki for dinner last week on the Carnival Horizon. There's no extra charge for lobster, in fact you can get lobster and beef. The portions are large and you can go for seconds on the fried rice. There was leftover shrimp for appetizer, can go for seconds on that too if available. Nothing goes to waste. It was entertaining but not something we would do each time we cruise.
Willwork4cruises Posted August 11, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 11, 2022 We had lobster and shrimp combo at Tepanyaki last week on Mardi Gras. It was included with the tepanyaki cost we paid to book.
cruisinqt Posted August 12, 2022 #10 Share Posted August 12, 2022 We did the Bonsai Teppanyaki on the Mardi Gras a couple weeks ago. Several of us chose multiple meats including lobster and jumbo shrimp. There was no extra charge. In fact he cooked so much that there was extra for those that wanted a little more. It was the best food on the ship. The meat was so tender it just melted in your mouth. We even liked it better than the steak house. Not that the steak house wasn’t great. But the seasoning on the meat at the Teppanyaki place was just amazing and there was so much variety. If you’re looking at going there book it now. It will sell out long before the cruise. Our February cruise is already sold out. Glad we had booked it already. 3
