DirtyDawg Posted August 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2022 I just Googles this. https://dailyhive.com/mapped/europe-charge-visitors-starting-2023 It looks pretty straight forward and cheap.
Rare ski ww Posted August 22, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted August 22, 2022 You can't apply for it yet. So hopefully somebody will let us know when we have to submit it.
Rare gnome12 Posted August 22, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2022 Currently, the implementation date (which has been delayed a number of times) is November 2023.
Rare ski ww Posted August 22, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted August 22, 2022 November is what seems to be the start date from what different people have said. One less thing to have to worry about submitting for our July cruise. But will keep my ear to the ground in case things change.

Rare mom says Posted August 22, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 22, 2022 Just keep checking for updates if you have sailings after Nov'23 . The ETIAS start date has been put back multiple times for what seems like years.
Tango99 Posted August 22, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 22, 2022 If I’m not mistaken, arrivals in any European port right now each still have their own formalities and forms to submit before sailing. So it’s still a bit iffy and worth checking out to be sure. Any future fees to EU are likely taking after the model Canada set years ago with the ETA fee for arriving foreign nationals travelling here. Crazy world. Australia started doing this a few years before Canada. Looks to be the way the western world is going.

phabric Posted August 24, 2022 #12 Share Posted August 24, 2022 I have been following their start date, which have been postponed a few times, now it shows start date November 2023. There is a place on their website, to put your email address and they are suppose to let you know when it starts. My cruise is a14 day Mediterranean and Israel cruise in November 2023 so very interested if we will need to apply for it.
iancal Posted August 25, 2022 #13 Share Posted August 25, 2022 If they are anything like the Australian one they will be a snap. Fill out a short form, provide your credit card number, enter, it is over. Visa arrives in less than 5 minutes.
