havanadaydreaming Posted October 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Anyone sailing currently/recently that can report occupancy percentages? Im on the conquest next week with a fare around $25/day pp. Plus taxes and fees. (But $125 obc/day for cabin) Makes me wonder if ship will be crowded...or not. Thoughts? samiam0403 Posted October 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Sailed on Liberty last month, and it felt like the ship was booked at 200% capacity. (I know, I know - not really.) Insanely crowded. YMMV.
sad549s Posted October 16, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Each cruise will vary but you can go to carnival.com and do a mock booking to see how many cabins are available. Just note if there are 10 cabins shown for a particular category there are likely more than 10 cabins are available….carnival just limits the results to 10 for each category
vwrestler171 Posted October 16, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Just got off Vista and felt it was full.

I check and I see that my cruise isn't showing up? Our sail date is 10/29/22 on the Mardi Gras. I thought maybe it was just so close to the sail date that they are no longer selling cabins. But - I do see shorter trips available under the 14 day mark - so that's not it. I'm guessing this is a good indication that my cruise is sold out - right? ☹️
Itried4498 Posted October 16, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Carnival ran some incredible deals on fall sailings, so occupancy will be high. If your cruise isn’t listed as available for sale, it’s probably sold out.
mz-s Posted October 16, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 16, 2022 The ships will be at 100% capacity or more.
desertmom Posted October 16, 2022 #9 Share Posted October 16, 2022 We just got off the Panarama yesterday and had almost 4,700 passengers. Double occupancy is right about 4,000 so it was very full.
2Shoes2Go Posted October 17, 2022 #10 Share Posted October 17, 2022 Just off a b2b on Elation. It was too full. Boarding Paradise tomorrow, hoping for a little more space.
kevers35 Posted October 17, 2022 #11 Share Posted October 17, 2022 (edited) Sailing on the Horizon on 10/29/22 as part of a big group, and we’ve got late comers desperately trying to join the cruise but can’t as the ship is completely sold out. I’m anticipating a very crowded ship, and hope will not take too long to get a drink at the bars. Edited October 17, 2022 by kevers35

Getting a drink at the bars during the day was never too long of a wait because there are so many bars to choose from for day time drinking. Now, in the evening you could have a wait getting a seat at the Alchemy Bar.
john91498 Posted October 17, 2022 #13 Share Posted October 17, 2022 (edited) 25 pp? that's an insanely low rate...even my "free" cruises weren't that low Edited October 17, 2022 by john91498

Carnival has been pushing 100%+ capacity since March at least. Depending on which announcement was correct we had 5500 or 5900 on the Mardi Gras in March so that would be 100%+. That's pretty much the goal for Carnival at this time so the days of 'quiet ships' are pretty much over with the Carnival brand. 🙂
KaiBlue Posted October 17, 2022 #15 Share Posted October 17, 2022 Just got off the Mardi Gras and it was a sold out cruise - People were posting on FB asking if anyone would be cancelling as they were looking for rooms. Found out it was fall break for many of the southern states and it was also an elite casino cruise. While the ship was full (and sometimes it did feel like it), the wait for most things wasn't too bad - even walked by the popular bars many times and there would either be a seat or enough space to walk up to order. I imagine this is also due to ship layout as I've been on some other ships at less than full capacity and they felt much more crowded.
ray98 Posted October 17, 2022 #16 Share Posted October 17, 2022 Between the cheap deals still being offered and those still using up FCC's it will likely be a busy fall.
