Yes. They always have been allowed.

I'm sailing X for the first time this month... do they not provide a hair dryer in the cabin????

They do. 
 

(Ducking to dodge the next 50 posts about how bad they are. My follicular challenged head dries with a towel. And DW doesn’t care for blow dryers.)

They do provide hair dryers.  If you have long hair or thick hair you may want to bring your own.  I have fine, just below shoulder length hair and the dryer works for me.

If you bring a microfiber wrap for long hair the dryer may be fine, just not super powerful.
