Rare laudergayle Posted November 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Can someone tell me what this white space represents on the Epic deck plan?
Rare jkbec101 Posted November 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2022 More than likely it is the housekeeping area.
Rare sid_9169 Posted November 10, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Looks almost too skinny to be accessible... Probably just where the different super structures were joined together...
Rare kjquilts Posted November 10, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) Here is a good YouTube video by M the Traveler showing the port side of the Epic as she sailed by the Symphony of the Seas. Deck 12 is the 5th row of balconies counting from the bottom. Very clear view of these stateroom balconies. I understand that .... I think their concern was what was between the staterooms because of the solid white line on the deck plan and I think the answer is nothing. The balconies look like any other angled balcony with similar configuration. Edited November 10, 2022 by kjquilts

I was thinking it was the large white areas. 🙂

Rare laudergayle Posted November 10, 2022 Author #9 Share Posted November 10, 2022 The YouTube helped. I agree that it doesn’t look like there is any space between balconies. I was hoping it wasn’t housekeeping. They start a lot earlier than we do..lol. Thanks all.
AtlantaCruiser72 Posted November 10, 2022 #10 Share Posted November 10, 2022 It is merely a graphical representation of the bulkheads required for safety. All ships have them at periodic intervals along the length of the vessel.

Rare kjquilts Posted November 10, 2022 #12 Share Posted November 10, 2022 The Bridge Viewing room is forward on Deck 13. On port side it is above staterooms 12000 to approximately 12044. On starboard side it is above staterooms 12001 to 12017. Don't know that this would generate any noise in the staterooms below. Take a look at cruise deck plans deck-drag section for Norwegian Epic. Rare laudergayle Posted November 10, 2022 Author #13 Share Posted November 10, 2022 The Bridge Viewing Room should be low traffic, but thank you for pointing it’s location relative to those forward cabins. When we booked 12017 I wanted to be able to look out and down, not over the lifeboats.
ew101 Posted November 11, 2022 #14 Share Posted November 11, 2022 Another deck plan question- how far around does the "jogging track" go? It seems blocked at the stern certainly.
JesseB Posted November 22, 2022 #15 Share Posted November 22, 2022 Likely a pipe or electrical chase (area where piping or electrical runs between decks)
Bluesky Seeker Posted November 22, 2022 #16 Share Posted November 22, 2022 The Epic does not have a Promenade deck with jogging track. If I recall correctly, the track on the Epic is on the port side and the length is about half the length of the ship. It ends at a bulk head so you have to jog back and forth. very disappointing -
