Does the app update boarding time with The Key?

You have priority boarding with The Key, so you can arrive early (we arrived at 10:30). You will be directed to the reserved section for The Key and allowed to board after those needing assistance and the Diamond & Pinnacle guests. This allows you to be on board in time to enjoy the Chop’s lunch in the MDR, where you can drop off your carry-on luggage. Enjoy!

Gotcha, thanks. Is 10:30 the earliest we should expect to board, or is there an opportunity to get on even earlier?

Boarding depends on the ship being cleared- the time you have is for check in, a slightly different thing.

Passengers still need to disembark, and the ship needs to be cleared of all passengers. Please don’t get there any earlier. It can cause a real crowding issue with disembarking and embarking passengers trying to be first one on ship.

Keep in mind that is 'check in' time, not boarding time.   But you may get on that early depending on if they have cleared the ship from the prior sailing.  You should still check in to your cruise when it opens (45 days out) and choose a boarding time--but filling out all the info is what will get you your set sail pass.  You'll get an email about a week before the sailing, letting you know what time to arrive and where to go for The Key, along with other details for Key holders.

There is a symbol of a key on your boarding pass .... that is all you need to show, doesn't matter what your scheduled ARRIVAL TIME is.

You board whenever the ship is cleared to board passengers by the government.  It might be 10:30, it might be noon.  Depends if they can get the previous passengers off the ship or not.
