cmaleblanc Posted December 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2022 So after reading all the interesting things about the BCC on these forms I started looking into the program. We had cruised on the Apex this year, and are going on the Reflection in Feb '23. I'm a big Craps player and played a lot on the last cruise, so I was interested in what status I may have or any discounts that may be offered at my level. After about 2hrs on hold with the BCC number, I found out that we had not been enrolled in the program. I (incorrectly) assumed we just had to swipe our cards at the casino when we played games, but according to the representative I spoke with, that's not the case I had to speak with someone on board the ship to enroll in the program? The good news is, she said she sees my trip on the Apex in Feb '22, and said that play will pull into the program when I join on our next cruise, but at this time they didn't have any offers loaded into my account because I wasn't a member. I'm not to concerned to be honest, she was a nice person to speak with, but it would have been nicer to have better direction on the site, or when we played at the Casino on board. Is this the same experience for others? and if so, for New people like myself, make sure you speak to the Casino host on board to join.

For my wife, son, and myself, we did not have to talk to anyone in the casino to request membership to the Blue Chip Club. From our vantage point, we were automatically enrolled. One day, we noticed that "Pearl" appeared on our SeaPass card... Edited December 1, 2022 by mahdnc
39august Posted December 1, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2022 We never "enrolled" on the ship either. Our cards always show "Pearl".
Rare Fly and Sail Posted December 1, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2022 Write them an email again and request that info. You don't have to manually sign up as long as you play.
jelayne Posted December 1, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2022 DH plays blackjack a couple of nights on every cruise and he status is Pearl, as is mine and only go into the casino to get to the theater.

Thanks I've sent another email, My original thought was that I didn't have to actively sign up for the program, as my card is scanned each time I played. But I didn't feel like arguing with the girl on the other end of the phone. After waiting 2hrs to speak to someone, I'll hope someone responds to my email. Whenever I call Celebrity Reservations or BCC I feel like another episode of Falling Down is about to start. This company is seriously testing my patience! JFontaine Posted December 1, 2022 #8 Share Posted December 1, 2022 I think the casino does a lousy job of tracking table players. If you play an hour of craps and lose $500, chances are you will get no "credit" if you don't ask. Much different story with a slot machine which is computer recorded. I'm sure there are exceptions to this - if you have a great pit boss who gets to know you - but I haven't had this.

There's a lot of truth to that but it seems it's not the pitbosses are under rating you, simply takes forever to accrue tier points on table games. Wins and losses don't matter in "theo", all about the better amount and how long you were at the table making those bets
Retired888 Posted December 1, 2022 #10 Share Posted December 1, 2022 I had only played in slots and put in my seapass when I did so. I had never been "formally" enrolled by talking to someone. My seapass showed "Pearl" the next time I cruised.
Mike45LC Posted December 2, 2022 #11 Share Posted December 2, 2022 I assumed that whenever I present my SeaCard in the casino, on a table or into the slot machine, I am being rated. I'll ask on my next cruise. Nuts, it is always slower to accumulate points on table games, because the house edge is "relatively" low and the theoretical loss is therefore "relatively" low. Just like the point accumulation is lower on VP than on slots.
cheeseheads4ever Posted December 2, 2022 #12 Share Posted December 2, 2022 Wondering if we are enrolled. If you have a BCC number I’m guessing you are enrolled?

I was only player or one of two to three players most of the time. Averaged about 300 rolls per night x5. Was up about $1100.…. Gave back a bunch in 20 minutes tonight on night 6 realizing my arm was just too sore. Currently Onyx. Did get another free cruise offer and booked a 9 night Hawaii in Aqua Class .... Taxes + 10 per night fees.... $500 ish. Fare would have been $5000. This new cruise will be a back to back to another near free 17 night Tahitian Treasure cruise to Sydney. Feel like a winner... Definitely enjoyed hours and hours of near break even dice waiting for a breakout that never really happened. Will be curious how this cruise is rated. So your $90 per hand might not be the correct figure.
