Can we bring a Dyson Airwrap onboard

Not sure the ship will have the voltage (240V) to actually operate it at enough power to style your hair, unless it actually switches between 110V (US) and 240V (AU)?
You could bring it and try, but be prepared for a chance that they query it as it will look 'strange' on the X-ray scan. We had an electric shaver queried and had to rescue it (and it's suitcase) late at night from Guest Services 😳

I did bring my Dyson Airwrap on Princess in Sep. It worked and I wasn’t questioned on having it.

Princess ships operating out of Aust have 240volt power available in guest cabins. I don't know if Ovation of the Seas does.

As far as I can tell, the Airwrap is not "dual voltage", so will not work with US adaptor pins in a US outlet.

However, the cabin also has a Euro socket which is a suitable voltage/cycle to operate a 240V appliance. You will need a Euro to AU pin adaptor.

Thanks all for your replies

I’m pretty sure you can’t take anything mains voltage, just low voltage.
There usually a table on debarkation of all the electrical things confiscated .
There’s a hair dryer in the cabin

Yep, thanks Chili. I remember seeing that table of confiscated items on previous cruises.

Its for my daughter and I have told her she will have to make do with the dryer in the cabin.
