Best Location on Ship for Sydney OPT Sailaway

We’ll be on the Celebrity Eclipse sailing out of Sydney OPT on Tuesday, Feb. 7th. Where on the ship should we stand for sailaway for the best views?

Up on an open deck where you can walk around from one side of the ship to the other. If you want the Opera House side you will need the starboard side.

I’m on the same cruise and will most likely end up at the Lawn Club during sailaway.

I like the Sunset bar level 15 aft, you can sit near the bar, have views back at the bridge and both sides as you pass the various landmarks.

In 2017 we had a Solstice starboard Concierge balcony cabin. Instead of going up top somewhere, as we have done previously, that time from our balcony, we watched the Opera House and other sights float by while sipping complimentary bubbly. Nice but if it's your first time it is best to get up as high as you can and change sides as you go as there are many things to see.

I haven’t been on the eclipse, but somewhere around the back, near the buffet and eat out there as I watch the sun set under the bridge, of course that will also depend on the time of sail away.

I would agree. Aft is great, assuming the ship is bow in, as is nearly always the case. Starboard side of aft will give you best views of the bridge and opera house, if that is what you want.
